Work and switch jobs because it’s easier to get a higher paying job than a raise. Employers just don’t value their workers so better to find a new position at another company. Keep your car, it’s a depreciating machine. It’s not worth investing in one un less you plan to live in the car… use your savings as a bill to save and save enough for a 20% down payment on a house. Your don’t need 20% but anything else will require paying PMI and buy a house. Land is valuable . Make sure the house you own is not retitled when you get married and remember to have a signed prenup when your ready to get married.

I stopped talking to my shitty siblings for about 10 years. They were great years, and I'm ready to do it again if they want to play fuck-around-and-find-out again. During the 10 years that I wasn't talking to them, I built my own traditions. For example, I'd leave the door open for them on Christmas Eve, but had a Christmas Day with anyone who wanted to come over. Recent 12/25 we had about 40 people over (people who wanted to be there). Wound up doing the same with the day before Easter, too.

Nothing in this letter is relevant. He's a young guy, working hard, investing in his education and living modestly - that's totally fine. In fact, that's better than "fine" - he's even now more responsible and more focused than 80% of his friends. That actually counts and will count in life later. It's good that your siblings are wealthy, they might help sometimes and at least they won't ask you for money.

Truth is, she is just as insecure as you are, so just be nice to her, congratulate her and who knows? Maybe she will be nice back if she feels you genuinely want HER life to be awesome too. Deep down, you know it isn't perfect or maybe even good so maybe you need to be the change you wanna see instead of feeling sorry for yourself that you get to earn it.
