Do the Garcia and Miller families actually live in Japan, where the original story was likely set? If so, then yes, they would be overseas in Hawaii. When you are adapting a story, anglicizing the characters’ names and changing the setting to the US, you need to check the details.

What's wrong with Diana gaining a nursing degree? If she's good at her job, she will never be out of work, and there is more to nursing than simply caring for patients. A nurse with 20 years of experience knows as much as a Doctor.

Thanks for an inspiring story well told. What do you mean lower class, construction people? They are hard wotking people. Having an executive title and highly educated, I talked and have friends who are custodian, I learned a lot from people from all walks of life. Only people who have low self-esteem try to look down on others. Big-brother is such a wonderful person who took care of sister Diane, besides being good husband to Emma and hard working executive. 😊 We're on this earth and every single one of us have work and contributions to our society. 😅

Some people think that you need a higher education to work in the construction industry to make it to the top. But you don't and to make fun of someone for not going to collage and working in the construction industry you make a lot of enemies if you go that route Might even be banned from ever getting anything in the future if you are in that same field. People don't want to work for assholes like that or be around people like that. Might want to think about how you take to people because you never know who they know.

Hi, It seems to be a, most likely, Japanese cultural thing, where the couple formally introduce each other to the others parents. It's not part of my culture, but it seems to be like when a few generations ago you had to formally ask the bride's father for her hand in marriage. That too is no longer part of my culture, thankfully. Yours, Ann
