Oh how this made me miss my big sister. So nice to see the lovely interaction between the two of you. My sister made me a proxy mummy when she transitioned into her sunset, leaving her five young sons. Tomorrow ,(Sunday 27th March) is Mother's Day here so I'll celebrate all mothers and what they go through to create and mold happy, well balanced human beings. Your chatter made me feel warm, thank you 😊

I breastfed my 1st daughter up until 2 yrs and when it was time for me to go out to work it was terrible she cried practically all day. She would eat but would not drink not even breastmilk from the bottle. I had to change babysitters so many times because of the crying all day till I got home. When I found out I was having my 2nd I already knew I was going to breastfeed and bottlefeed cause I knew I had to go to work in 3 mths. So I think everybody's situation is unique and you have to decide what is best for your situation. It does not make you a bad mother or less of a mother.
@alethiadavis12082 жыл бұрын
I am 50 with two grown kids. I think the choice to breastfeed and how long ,is a decision that is personal to that woman and child. I don’t understand why others get to have a say on that issue. At this time ,what is needed is support not judgment Support, support, support.

Loved this episode - I’m 39 and pregnant with my first child after doing IVF. Can’t wait for an episode on moms in their mid-late 30’s 40’s I know it sounds selfish but I’m grateful for this journey but also anxious about putting my career progress on hold. I’m only getting 6 weeks maternity leave but I’m thinking I may not have the same drive as before or may become inspired to do something totally different. I will only be able to take 8 week’s maternity leave, but will be able to work from home for 6 months.

Evening Tacklers...love it. Tami you are looking BUMPILICIOUS. Loved seeing you and Tessie together. So many thoughtful things tonight but most of all I agree with Tessie 'Be Kind', and I would also go so far as to say just ask the mummy how 'she is doing'. Is she resting, eating, drinking, sleeping, make it about HER..WE CAN SEE THE BABY IS DOING WELL, because amidst all that is going on, mummy has got ready for the day, this sweet smelling beautifully attired baby. Don't give ANY ADVICE, unless the mother ASKS YOU a point of view. Its not being unsupportive, its being kind and aware, that no matter how many children that mother has, each is different and the journey after is different. God bless us all who are doing amazing jobs with our babies and families in general, but please ladies and gentlemen, because there are some of you doing the raising, remember TO CARVE OUT TIME FOR YOURSELF, SO THAT YOU CAN BE THE BEST VERSION OF THE PARENT YOU WANT TO BE. Empty cars don't run. Love you all.

Yessss Tess pumping is very traumatic omg it was so hard for my first child... but I give God thanks for my lactation consultant she helped me alot n made me know that once baby is fed is good breastmilk or formula. #Tamitackleseverything Tami, it was really great seeing you and Tessanne, talk about your pregnancies.... when you mentioned feeding, I though it would be great for you to invite Liz Virgo on (she could give her multiple birth experience) and I know this might be touchy, but someone who has a child with physical challenges.... more info especially for the new moms...

I absolutely love and appreciate this video so much. I am actually teary eye trying to type this comment. I had a pandemic(July 2021) baby as well while working and going to school. My husband is very supportive and understanding but other mothers who were able to breastfeed successfully chastised me for not being able to do it as I would have liked. I was able to breastfeed for 3 months and my son ween himself. You wouldn't believe the comments I got from mothers...I felt inadequate as a mother but I remained confident that I was and will always do the best for my son. Thank you for sharing this information and being open and honest on this space. Love you guys ❤
@noire_chiney59572 жыл бұрын
That is awful that other moms felt the need to chastise you on your breastfeeding journey. My middle child decided that she was going to ween herself after I got home a few minutes later from work than the usual. Nothing I did would convince her to get back on the breast. Her personality is still the same after all these years
@lisalc45132 жыл бұрын
Fed is best mama you did great! You are the best mom your child could ever ask for!
@yvonneking13292 жыл бұрын
That's unkind...we all have different situations which influence the length of time we can breastfeed. As a professional I had to return to work within 2 - 3 mths and both my children decided to wean themselves within 3 1/2 mths even though they still got the breastmilk a little longer along with supplements. For Tami (do what's best for you and the baby).
@ingareid86802 жыл бұрын
Sherece remember there are no playbook on parenting, so always do what you think is best for your child and family. Do learn to ignore the side chatter. My son weaned at 3mths as well, each child is different.

I really wish I could embrace my pregnancy. It’s been challenging from the very beginning. From the morning sickness, to going into preterm labor at 22 weeks and now having to be on strict bedrest until birth. I had to quit both my jobs and literally lay in bed all day. Not to mention the stress & anxiety of having to have my 3rd c section. Thankfully, I’m now 31 weeks and I can’t wait to meet my baby boy. My other 2 pregnancies were nothing like this, so this is all new. It’s true when they say every pregnancy is different.

Tami, I love dis!!!!! I'm nearly 38 and just had my first child almost 8 months ago. I had him 6 wk early by c-section and had a very hard time b-feeding due to complications and ultimately decided to stop trying. Seriously, a happy mother is better than anything! however, the amount of JUDGEMENT I still face is UNREAL. Even just in queues at stores I get told "brea$t is best" and/or to have another one quickly. Some people can be sooo BOLD. Jeeeezum. Let's normalize not assuming everyone's pregnancy, parenting decisions, etc. fit "society norms".
