As I have reviewed the prior seasons, I realize that (at least on camera), he was never able to explain his false doctrine (and it is false and flexible, well documented as I have it). There seems to be a child like need for expectance and recognition. His friends from childhood spoke about it. It seems like he may have adopted the “religion” to please his mother and receive acceptance from his father. He was never stable, always chaotic and unfocused, it may be more than one issue at play. And odd how he had an obsession with the younger children, the young ones are always easy and playful and accepting because they know no better. When a damaged, not emotionally developed person comes into contact with a user and manipulative person, there is trouble. I honestly think he did his best as I look back but she going to have her way for herself and her children no matter the cost to everyone else. This is why we see him do up and down and all over the place “I love them” “I never loved them” “It was beautiful”, “It was terrible”, she is his only lense in which to see his experience. We might have just gotten a moment of genuine Kody, unexpected by Robyn. She looks filled with hate and seethes with anger. I personally think she was involved and working with production for the catfishing. She pulled the kids from Meri right after that. She is sick.
