Melissa, I really like your videos because you give very good information, the sisterlocticians her in the USA (Chicago) THEY ARE TOO LAZY TO GIVE INFORMATION ON WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR HAIR, THEN WE GET DISCOURAGED AND TAKE THE LOCKS OUT OR COMBINE THEM INTO REGULAR LOCKS.

I've had someone at work, reach over to the bud at the end and yank it straight off when I was at this stage! It was so frustrating. What I love most about sisterlocks is that I don't do much to it but I still see results. I'm 8 months in and can see the difference in the length and the thickness of my sisterlocks. Best thing I'd suggest to anyone is to photograph your hair regularly and look back at the photos every now and again.

Hi. I think I messed up. You are the only person who addressed this for me. I started picking in my locs...it became so bad that it was hard for me to keep my hands out of my hair. I have to now find ways to keep my hands away from my hair because, as you said, the bulbs felt weird, I picked them, got satisfaction out of picking them and picking the lint out, and about 80-90% of my locks unraveled. My hair was growing so nicely 2 years ago. Now, it seems as if my hair has SHORTENED!!! I am so upset about this. Now that I can visually see the difference, THAT motivated me to KEEP MY HANDS OUT OF MY HAIR!!!! My profile pic is maybe about 1 year old, and my hair is shorter than that now. I feel like I am STUCK. I am about 5 years in, and my hair is now back to just at my shoulders...it was longer than that 2-3 years ago. WHAT SHOULD I DO??? I am worried that I messed up my hair's locking process. They do seem to be re-locking now, but it is becoming noticeable that my hair is now shorter. My hair tends to grow fast, and it feels like it is going BACKWARDS? Will my hair correct itself? My consultant says my hair looks great, but she is my 2nd consultant. so she did not see it from the beginning. Is there hope for me?

Hiy, try braiding it lock ends TIGHT. Then leave them alone. Stressing is unnecessary cause your hair will keep growing. X

Hello. Thank you so much for this. Can you provide some advice on how to cover my head for bed? Should I tie down with scarf or use a bonnet? I was told bonnets can cause lock breakage but I feel the scarf flattens my hair for the 8 hours and may disrupt my fullness. You're so informative. Thank you!
