I forgot how well this show portrayed the kids growth in power. In this first season Jean can barely move a chair around and later.. well you’ll see. This show is really well done

I really enjoy how they paralleled Bob's crush on Jean with Rogue's crush on Scott. While Rogue managed it well, Bob didn't.

Many X-Men characters were actually aged down for this series, our strong boy Blob being one of them, originally a man from the circus. However I like how they handled him as a teenager here as it fits the tone of the story and this episode is actually pretty similar to the source material.
