I walked Hadrian’s Wall from Newcastle to Bowness on Solway in 2004 when I was 65; I walked alone, except for my teddy bear Tyana who was attached to my backpack. I was kind of slow so lots of people passed me and later I would see them again in one of the B&Bs and they would greet me with “Here comes the bear lady.” My bear has over 100 outfits and her Hadrian’s Wall Album shows many of them. It was a beautiful walk, so many different landscapes. It took me ten days, but I had three days put aside for museums etc.

The color of the dining room wall is just a stunning backdrop for this video and for the artwork! Looking around my house to see what I might paint that same color 👀. Seeing the gorgeous Liberty fabrics took me on a trip down memory lane to when I was in London in 1990. I bought these adorable little hippo beanbag dolls in pajamas that I know you would love (one pink and one blue). I pulled them out of hiding to visit with them just now and they are SO CUTE! I'll try to remember to bring them on the next knitting cruise to show you. I can't wait to see Carlos' experiments with quilting 8-pointed stars. XOXO, Lisa

You selected so many of my current favourite Liberty prints. I too love the pink florals and the yellow fabrics. Yellow looks amazing with teal. I can't wait to see how the quilt turns out. It's so nice you're back for the summer. I'm wanting to stitch more this summer. I'll put SAKFAB as my Wednesday stitching time. I don't like shorts so I watch very few of those. I'm looking forward to Carlos' quilt. I'm doing all handwork now because since I've been sick I can't sit in upright chairs. I'm glad Carlos' parents are doing well. Arne I'm working on English paper piecing and also making amigurumi dolls right now. 💜

Hi Arne and carlos. So happy to have you back again. Arne so happy for you finding your VW cars. I’m 82 years old and my first car was a grey VW. I loved that car and was so sad when I had to sell it because it was too small for my family. When. My Daughter. Went to University and needed a car she went out with her Dad and they came home with a grey VW. And when she went overseas she passed it on to her Brother. Many memories made in our VWs. Arne can’t wait for the new dolls house. I love them . Both of you and Kate are my favourite videos to watch on utube. Sending best wishes and take care.

I have been away from my social media but back again and watched this on replay and really enjoyed the excitement of inspiration you gleaned from your trip to the UK . G'Day Arne and Carlos- from Australia. When I do quilt blocks- some of the light coloured fabrics that show the seam allowance I was given a tip to use a light interfacing so you don't see the seam allowance on the right side of the project ! Loved seeing you from the lime green sofa !

Standard poodles have been a favorite in our family. But I have known some very neurotic ones! Glad you are taking a breather from traveling during the summer months - sometimes just thinking about all the traveling you do tires me out! You are super energetic! Carlos, your taste is just in line with my own - I love Liberty of London fabric. Oh! Here’s something that could be fun: take one picture a day of your garden, standing in the same spot every day, rain or shine. By the end of the summer, perhaps you’ll have 90 pictures that you can make into a Timelapse to show the progress, growth, changes, etc. Carry on, boys!
