Congratulation Carlos on getting your passport and managing to keep a perfect haircut at the top of the Himalaya! I started learning Norwegian on Duolingo during the first stages of the pandemic (it's all your fault) and I got sentences like "Bjørnen spiser meg!" but now I feel like I need to learn how to say "Mama sheep is attacking me!" :D I traveled to Oslo and Bergen in late July and the temperature went up to 24/25 during the day, I was really surprised... But I loved that first glimpse of Norway and hopefully I can come back soon to see more of the country!

I agree. By the way, most of us can't speak 3 or more languages and therefore are not going to ever say 'Arne is stupid' when he in that moment can not find the one word out of 6 that mean about the same thing, but that word is the one used in a common phrase.

So nice to see the beautiful landscape! And Happy Birthday, Carlos! I have to tell you that I am looking forward to your Christmas plans. My mother passed away from Covid on December 19, 2020 in the middle of your knit-a-long and I was very very sick myself. It was a horrible time. But I still watched you two every day. It was a solace to me and I came to feel very close to the two of you. You were the only thing I could stand to watch actually. My mother loved the Christmas balls and I had planned to knit a set for her as well. Well, that all went sideways but I did knit the December 19th ball in her honor. Hopefully I will stuff it and hang it this year. I am dreading this coming Christmas season but looking forward to seeing what you two are up to helps me. Arne, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. You both will maybe never meet me but I consider you my friends!

I live in south central Washington state where we had very high temperatures this summer - the highest was 115 degrees. Now we have forest fires about 30 miles to the west. It is causing very smokey skies. We’re looking forward to winter.

I would love to have a basic, simple 1 color sweater pattern. There could be a different color for small trim at the sleeve or neck. But using texture for the detail would be so lovely. It would be fun if it had several looks like a cardigan, or short sweater, or slightly different sleeve. I love the mountain view and walk you get to have every day Carlos. But the two things that delighted me most: first...your lovely Birthday niste (Carlos got his own luscious birthday cake), and second ... absolute joy that Carlos is able to climb the mountain! So much progress made this summer in regaining your health and strength, Carlos, that you have gained mountain goat status. .
