Had to throw another comment in here. What I love about this episode is that this reinforces what the Netflix Doc did, and that is the incredible father and son bond between AJ and Jimmy. The bond they shared through the good times, and bonds during the low times. If I had to guess those bonds grew even tighter during the rough years. Incredible relationship, and all AJ has been able to accomplish has to make Jimmy proud 👏. The bonds of a good family are stronger then anyone thinks.

Watched the documentary and was amazed. The way A.J. built the team, marketed and led them as a teenager is amazing. As a hockey fan since my hometown Blackhawks made it to the finals in 92, I love the brutal hockey of this era. Also grew up watching wrestling, favorite of all time was Razor Ramone aka The Bad Guy. The beauty of blending the two together... I tip my hat to you AJ. Respect.

Aj, it's cool to see you onKZbin, i used to work at AWD in the mechanic shop and the weld shop over at p&g, they used to call me tuna.. I used too see you in the scale house all the time.. I liked that job, I was real upset when I got laid off lol. But all good things must end and we move on.. but I was glad I got the experience. It was never a dull moment there. I appreciate your old man keeping me around becuase when I first started as the shop helper I was just about useless but by the time I left I was a real tradesman. Dennis took me under his wing and taught me how to weld. and I built my career essentially off what I learned working at awd. I never got to meet your dad in person, but I heard all the stories, it's cool to hear you guys this kind of more personal format. Brings back some memories. Best of luck to you guys!

So I was looking through Netflix last night looking for something to watch and I came the Trashers Crime and Penalties documentary so I thought i would give it a go for 5 mins. I ended up watching the whole thing and I'm now looking through KZbin for Trasher videos. I'm from England where we don't have a massive ice hockey culture, though my City has a pro team called the Leeds Knights. The Trashers looks like exactly the type of team I would of supported, hard, no nonsense players who had each others backs 1000%, owners and managers who would do anything for said platers and the team and a loyal and proud fan base. Jimmy is also the type of dad and boy would want as a father and AJ was the type of kid any father would be proud to have as a son. Go Trashers!

Believe the Burnett vs. Parker rivalry started after Burnett suckered Troy Crowder in a Kentucky Thoroughblades vs Hershey Bears game. Burnett was escorted off the ice before Parker could get to him. Poor Christian Gosselin took an awful lot of punishment during the bench clearer that ensued. Parker and Burnett fought at least 3x a game multiple times in both the AHL and NHL after that. Also, love the Bruce Richardson shoutout!!! Another Bears legend!! Great Podcast!!!!

growing up in maine… the AHL team (portland pirates) had such an impact of the city up until being sold to Springfield in 2016…… the trashers story feels like home to me…. unless u grew up with minor league hockey you dont really know how special a team can be for a city

Great episode, but Jimmy and AJ never let anyone down lol because I always thought of these guys reaching out to the LNAH lol....That's right up their alley Danbury would eat it up. If the FPHL is doing everything to compromise what the fans of Danbury love I couldn't think of any way better to pursue an LNAH team and no better people to get it done then the Galante family 👍.
