I have never seen such a beautiful suit than the pinstripe, Eric’s take on the classic pinstripe for Kirby is remarkable! One thing I’d love to see is yours and Eric’s thoughts on good ready to wear, off the shelf garments and shoes, would be interesting to see a vid on this. Keep up the good work!

I’m truly confused/asking an honest question-does Eric intend the shoulders of his (green) jacket to look that way? To my eye they are bulbous and protruding, vastly overhanging his shoulder. Is there a joke or an intention that I’m missing?

As always a very enjoyable conversation and I do love the colour of Eric’s suit but those “flying wings” at the shoulder just do not look good. I keep thinking given the tailoring connection location here of the Italian Renaissance where men wore large, fitted waistcoats underneath pleated overcoats called giornea, which had wide, puffy mutton sleeves.

Who you're with and what youre doing is a factor in almost everything. We could probably say objectively that a lot of places are mediocre as far as food and drink, but because of memories or people, they are the best you've ever had in memory. Places you went with grandpa or your father, dishes your mom made, etc. Emotion is a factor in taste.

Very nice conversation. I was in a famous department store in the USA today in the Midwest. I was looking at the menswear. All of the suits were polyester or predominately polyester. I couldn't believe it. The dress shirts and the casual shirts were shiny with lots of polyester content. There was nothing in that men's department that I would want to wear or to purchase. Maybe Levi's or Lee denim jeans. Like you said, they must be making these items very inexpensively. Sadly, this is what the younger generation must be wearing. Thank you for this interview.

It might be worth revisiting the lighting setup for when there's an interview. Kirby was lit well but Eric's face was casting shadow on itself. He was lit better (but not great) last time but I think the chair was further back with the same light setup.

You would not believe, I bought my suit for 5$ in second-hand boutique, its new or like a new, "Marlane" (Italy), in best condition, I would rather say in perfect condition, fits perfect. Also 5 shirts for about 7$ each- formal, casual, long sleeve, short sleeve (Armani, Cedarwood, Autograph, GAP, D-Code, Seidensticker)! More than 5-10 thousand USD in value!

Does the rule about a man being able to sit with the coat fasten apply when the man is a larger man, i.e., the size of the Rock? I love both your suits, but green is my favorite color, all shade except yellowish green. This video was very informative!

the shoulders remind of the saiyan's armours in dragon ball z. but i actually like the colour of the suit quite a bit! Kirby, there is often a bit of your shirt showing just above your tie knot. isn't that something one should try to avoid?

It’s well known that he keeps suits for many years, having them patched or altered as needed, because he hates waste. And he is in a position where he does not need to make a point of a body line: his tailor, Anderson & Sheppard cut a drape finish which is more relaxed anyway. However, when he is in formal evening or day wear or in uniform he looks magnificent.

Kirby, as another commenter pointed out, you really ought to do at least a video on quality RTW suits and shirts. Your bespoke videos are fantastic, but the companies featured in said videos are out of reach for most.
