Before Mauls rebirth and reconstruction, he was only a Sith Assassin. A trained beast only meant to destroy when told. But he returned as a true Lord of the Sith. Finally taking Sidious lessons of patience and subtlety to heart and built an empire!

And then lost it all in a single 2v1 fight against his old master. No matter how pure or intense his hatred, he was ultimately little more than a pawn trying to overthrow a chessmaster.

while it is true what you start out saying that he was chosen, trained, and conditioned by Sidious as a Sith Assassin that he planned on only using as a tool to discarded when he no longer served his purpose (and that is an important fact), I can't say I agree with your personal perception in the rest of your statement. There are no facts I know of to support that he becomes a "true Lord of the Sith" or that it was lesson's from Sidious that caused his rebirth, allowed him to not only recover but grow stronger in the force, and it wouldn't make sense to say that anything Sidious taught him would have contributed his alleged forged "empire". a criminal network even with the Mandalorian's Death Watch faction adding to his numbers & power that eventually took over Mandalore for a short time could be called or compared to a true empire, especially "thee" Empire. The thing I'm most interested in is his affinity with & ranking as a Sith. What do you believe he did or achieved that qualified him for that title of Sith Lord? come to think of it... I'm not sure I even know what the Sith standard & rules are when it comes to hierarchy, especially gaining the title of "Lord" or "Master". I know about "Darth" and he obviously gained that from his time with Sidious. but I believe it was stated pretty clearly and alluded or referred to several times in different books that when Palpatine found Maul and began his training he did it with specific intentions and NEVER allowed him train past a certain point, NEVER taught him anything he didn't want him to know that could allow him to be anything more than what he wanted, specifically to become more powerful than him. which directly goes AGAINST the ways of the Sith! you have to earn your knowledge & place as a Sith apprentice or disciple but it is the duty of the master to teach & train their apprentice to their full potential with the anticipated outcome being eventually they would become more powerful than their master and then kill them. Not sure if they ever had "a Trial" for initiation or promoting one from a apprentice to a "lord" or whatever their equivalent would be of the Jedi's "Knight" rank that they gained after being a Padawan, meeting the requirements, and passing their own "Trial". ...hopefully somebody else here knows and can inform us all. it's been too long since I've read any of the books i use to read. anyway, I don't mean to criticize you or nit-pick your comment. I just really love in-universe Lore and especially the more mysterious and unknown parts of Star Wars like the Sith. I find all this stuff fascinating & entertaining! so have a good one man, peace.

Revenge is a tempting ally until it burns you out and betrays you when you least expect. You may find satisfaction from it, but it will destroy you in the end. This is why the Sith always fail.

Please do Darth Zannah next! Bane’s Rule of Two dynasty would have never amounted to anything if it wasn’t for her! She fulfilled her destiny, defeating Bane, and thus securing his legacy. It would also allow you to touch on Sith sorcery.
@Hylanvahr3 ай бұрын
Zannah was insanely powerful with horrifying powers not even Sidious was capable of. She could entrap your consciousness and shatter your entire mind just by looking at you, or simply snap your neck with barely a simple gesture. She could even use the Force to create dark energy tendrils that could cut you to ribbons just as visciously as a lightsaber, but from multiple directions at once. Not even Bane could overcome her sheer willpower. She was the true superior Sith. Not even Maul could ever come close to her level of power.
@Quinn482722 ай бұрын
@@Hylanvahr She was more than just powerful-was a force of nature. But what truly set her apart, what placed her above the likes of Vader, Maul, Sidious, and countless other Sith Lords, was her intellect. Rarely does one encounter an individual who combines pure, unbridled power with such razor-sharp cunning. Bane, Zannah, and Palpatine were among that rare breed. Yet, she possessed a mind that was exceptional even among them. She shared her master's vision-an understanding that few could match. The Sith who came after her, as well as those before, had formidable abilities, both mental and physical. But how many of them had the vision that Bane and Zannah possessed? Very few. If not for her, all that Bane had strived to build would have crumbled to dust. If Zannah had faltered, Bane would have unwittingly become the Jedi Order's savior, wiping the Sith from existence forever. But Bane chose wisely when he took Zannah as his apprentice. Despite his doubts throughout Dynasty of Evil, he realized during their final confrontation that she had become everything he had hoped for. Despite his doubts throughout Dynasty of Evil, he saw in her the fulfillment of everything he had hoped for during their final confrontation Zannah wasn’t merely a follower of the Rule of Two; she was its true founder. Bane may have been the one to conceive it, to implement it in a way Revan never could, but he never experienced the full cycle. He lacked a true master, never understanding the ascension that Zannah and those who followed her would experience. Zannah ensured that Bane’s legacy would endure, that the Sith would not merely survive, but thrive. Without her, there would be no Tenebrous, no Plagueis, no Palpatine, no destruction of the Jedi Order, and no Empire ruled by the Sith. This may be technically true for all who followed the Rule of Two, but with Zannah, it was different. She was the first, the true embodiment of the Rule of Two.

This is true my father was my first enemy I did everything I could to be better the than he the hated words he said to me when he die i was 17 it was like I lost the will to fight not because he died but because I had no one to hate anymore let my blandness be a lesson to my sith brothers.

Please....I got to know: The glyphs at the start of every episode....are they real, made up? Is it something that can be legit translated? Asking because I really, REALLY would like to get a tattoo of these, but only if they really do translate into it's English counter part. Again.....I CANNOT get enough of this. So damn glad I came upon this series. May your subscribers soar to numbers so large it blots out the sun!

And if the sequels went the way GL wanted maul would've been the main antagonist let alone his apprentice Talon gaining back his criminal empire being a thorn to the New Republics side
@ryggamortis75943 ай бұрын
The tragedy of Darth Maul was as much Sidious’s failure as it was himself, Sidious chose to strike too soon and although Maul was more than physically capable, combat prowess should never outweigh self discipline, Maul should have been trained longer in impulse control, a flaw of his Sidious was already very aware of. Although Darth Maul was clearly an expendable apprentice while Sidious was waiting for his true prize, he would have made a valuable asset to the empire.

Maul's ultimate failure was his obsession with Kenobi and pursuing mundane things such as conquest and political power. What a fool. As a Sith, your first priority must always be to fulfill the Rule of Two. Your test in life is to overcome your master. All other things are secondary. Maul should have followed Darth Zannah's example, using the time and resources he had to travel the galaxy and seek ancient Sith relics and knowledge. To defeat the most powerful Sith Lord ever requires the knowledge of the ancients. He needed to evolve from the mere assassin he was, and make himself into a formidable sorceror, building his willpower and achieving his true potential. But Maul ignored the Force, cast aside pursuing its secrets of true cosmic power, and ultimately met his shameful downfall at the hands of an old Jedi in the wastelands of Tatooine. Pathetic.
