Gave this a thumbs up before I even started watching. I was wrecked when they blew up his Razorcrest ship, but this ship makes up for it a little. Kind of reminds me of a Formula 1 air racer, if someone built it in their garage with spare parts from anything they could find. Awesome model, awesome build, you've outdone yourself.

Yah - I’m new to the channel & was only a few minutes in & did the same. Brushing the resin on the seems, then hardening with the UV lamp is a great tip!! I haven’t got my 3D resin printer up & running yet (trying to pick the best software to design parts) but I’ll be using the painted on resin tip in as many “filler” applications I can. Thank you for the whole build!! Great work.

It was a design that had good legs, but the Mando modded version is also one of my new favorite starfighter design of all time. It just needed to have elements to the design that made it look more aggressive and capable, and they very much achieved that.

Fantastic job! I actually loved those Naboo Starfighter designs. They have the sleek lines and shapes of some of the WWII fighter planes. To me they remind me of the Spitfire and a bit of the Mustang. In ILM's original designs and props, they used a lot of actual WWII gear and weapons and modified them a bit. That old look from the late 30s and 40s carried through the movies without people recognizing it but still was familiar.

@samtaylor7762, You're absolutely right. Which shows that those who claim that the look of these ships isn't in the spirit of what Star Wars is all about don't understand much about Star Wars and forget that it's Lucas' imagination and taste that are at the origin of what Star Wars is all about. And we know how important WWII aviation was to him. So if the artists' designs were validated by him, it's because they corresponded to what he wanted.
