Sityodtong Muay Thai Seminar with Kru Mark Dellagrotte at Chicago MMA

World renown Muay Thai trainer and founder of Sityodtong USA, Kru Mark Dellagrotte, will be hosting a seminar on Saturday, July 25, 2015, from 10-12PM at Chicago Mixed Martial Arts. Kru Mark is the one of the best Muay Thai and MMA trainers in the world. He coached numerous kickboxing and MMA champions. Kru will focus on a set of techniques he believes are the foundation of traditional Muay Thai and show students how to adapt those techniques to modern MMA.

Interesting - his instruction at 10:10 directly contradicts with what Samart teaches at 0:35 here kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2eugp9sjLZ-h9k. What's the benefit of the 'straight leg back' training method over Samart's bent leg method? Seems the bent leg is better positioned to block a counter roundhouse.

You get the feel of the straight leg at impact. After that you can start do bend after you are able to feel. Just a training method / step, not the end product
