The 90-minute Sivananda Yoga sequence has been compressed to 30 minutes for those who are hard-pressed for time.

Sivananda Yogalife is an independent yoga studio located in New Delhi, India, offering online as well as physical classes. It is not affiliated to any other organisation.
The classes taught here are unique as each class includes asanas that work on the back, the internal organs, the mind and overall fitness. Participants report experiencing improved health, more restful sleep, a better state of mind and fewer visits to the doctor, to name a few of the benefits they derive from practising yoga with Sivananda Yogalife.
Sivananda Yogalife was founded by Smita in 2010. Smita is a certified Sivananda Yoga teacher and has over 6,000 hours of experience teaching yoga. She is highly experienced in teaching therapeutic yoga, yoga for weight loss and advanced yoga asanas.

You may do 6 rounds of sun salutation and increase the holding time in other asanas. Do 3 rounds of kapalabhati with 120 pumping each and breath retention 30-60 Sec after each round of kapalabhati. Do 7-10 rounds of alternate nostril breathing.

Really helpful when one is hard-pressed for time . With this short class , just devoting 30 Min One will not have to skip the daily practice . Wonderful !

Smita This is one of the best renditions.👏👏 Good sequencing, great voice and guidance. I use this very frequently (of course I am a Sivananda student). Would be grateful if you can do a longer version as well for 60 minutes. 🙏🙏

Wonderful class ! whenever I am hardpressed for time, I take this short class. But then when class ended, with the energy built up, I wish I could carry on a little longer .Thank you for posting this class which really helps self practice at home for people who can not go out.

Thank you for this lovely class, you covered the main Sivananda poses and explained very well. Would have liked a longer sivasana but undersand it's hard to do in 30 min. Love the music as well. I feel relaxed :) Om Shanti

I am an enthusiastic Sivananda practitioner, have been to North American ashrams over a dozen times. But do not have 90 min on most days. Love the 30-40 min format. Could you record more?

@emergenceclement thanks for pointing out… equal time was spent on both sides but in order to make the video of 30 min duration, it was edited and it’s possible that time of 2 sides of the posture was not kept equal. sorry for this inconvenience 🙏

Smita's 30 min version is just the right yoga practice for busy people (like myself). I need to get out of my house by 6:30am, and it fits in so well with my early morning routine. I put on her KZbin for the added ambience! Even though I have been practising this for some months now (also other yoga routines in previous years), I still can not do certain poses fully - Halasana (feet is still a good 1 feet above the floor), Ardha Matsyendrasana (elbow does not go past the knee), Surya Namaskar (palms do not plant flat on the floor). Any tips and way around these? Like, a couple of years ago, one KZbin teacher gave a very practical tip for Mayurasana - use a looped belt placed just above the elbow, which will keep the elbow secure in the tummy and not allow the hands to slip off. Any such tricks for above? Look forward to your advices.

Shantih is chanted thruce at the end to ask for peace from three forces that bring us sorrow/difficulties: Misery 1: which arises due to our own body and mind. disease, unwellness of body and wanderings of the mind (such as desire, angry thoughts etc) that do not let us focus. 2. Misery 2: miseries caused by things and beings around us, in the world - whatever they be. Anything in the world. 3. Yes of course you can :-) Avoid inversions and also backbends that put too much pressure on the abdomen, during your menstrual cycle.
