She is the greatest vocalist on the planet. She is a treasure and should be protected. She is a musical prodigy… a genius as you said. A lot of people, like me, have to hear her at least once a day. I play her videos at home, I listen to her when I drive… I can’t get enough. She is truly sensational.

Angelina purposely plays with the tempo, and I absolutely love it. She pulls at it giving it that jazzy feel. She works that into the arrangement. She is a master at word phrasing and stretching tempo. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

When people say a song gives you googebumps, sometimes they aren't being sincere, but I must admit I have heard her sing this song over 20 times, and at a certain time, I get goosebumps every time at the same time of her song!

Don't compromise your comments if you feel you are right! I am not a trained musician or vocalist and can't sing to save my life, if Angelina was out of tempo I would never know it. Most people love wines, and while most wines are good, few people have trained their palate to understand the subtle differences that distinguish a good wine from a great wine. Most of us just know whether we like it or not but mostly based on the broadest of flavors. I really enjoy Angelina's renditions, and whether technically flawed they evoke a strong emotion or demand attention. She is not great given her age, she is great regardless, because at any age it is hard to capture the attention and emotions of the songs like she does. It is like Howe Mandel said in AGT, she is hypnotic! So who care if you find a technical flaw, when those imperfections make the song human and the resulting effect on the listener is captivating. I think that while pointing the minor flaws, you can also point out the technical qualities that uplift the song.

ANGELINA JORDAN Born and raised in Oslo, Norway; this world-renowned singer has earned fantastic reviews for the amazing breadth, depth and maturity of her vocal talent that simply belies her young age. Angelina’s videos have received over 1 billion views on KZbin and almost 2,5 billion views on Facebook. Amazingly, her passion for music began at just one-and- a-half years of age when Angelina first saw Whitney Houston on KZbin performing I Will Always Love You. Whitney - and later Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington - became her first major musical influences. At the age of seven, Angelina auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent performing Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She won the competition with the show drawing record TV audiences. Not surprisingly, throughout her rising career, Angelina has featured in prominent media outlets including TIME, CNN, BBC, and People while also performing on the U.S. network TV shows Little Big Shots and The View. In 2016, Avicii chose Angelina for the vocals on his worldwide Volvo commercial campaign, a brilliant cover of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good. As well as singing before Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, charitable causes to which Angelina has given her talent include the Rainforest Alliance at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and Ein Herz für Kinder in Berlin where she helped raise over 21 Million Euros for children and families in need. This multi-talented singing prodigy has also written a successful, illustrated children’s book in her native Norway making Angelina the youngest published author in the country’s history. Based on the true story of when she was six years old, Angelina met a homeless, shoeless girl. After they talked for a long time, she gave the girl her shoes and vowed never to appear on stage again wearing shoes until all the world’s children had them. Since that time, Angelina has always performed barefoot in public.

Astounding achievement. Child walks in to studio, transforms into adult singer. Nails it. But note that in later performances of this song she has toned down those hard phrases. "Your mine, your mine....." Clearly not healthy for voice. Good she is learning that, not risking vocal cords..

Siwah..... I always enjoy hearing classic songs like this one being kept alive but the only thing that can spoil them is when the artist tries to "over sing" it. This young lady did a great job with this rendition, keeping it as close to the original as possible ☝️😃 Also, there's no need to apologise for your English as I can understand you perfectly my dear ❤️❤️❤️

Yes, Siwah & Gerard, it is wonderful when a child honors a classic song, and adds to it with a distinctive interpretation. You will enjoy another example if you don't know it already: Grace VanderWaal doing "Lonesome Town". Talk about not over singing, this is just a girl and her voice and a phone making a youtube clip. What do you think?! kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHfTnaSohNaCedU

I want to say that your past reaction to Angelina's Born to Die was a little surprising...BUT...other people like yourself who reacted to her cover also noticed a hiccup in the tempo much like you did. I did not hear it...BUT...I am not a musician, so I would not be as aware of things like that as you are. So, in hindsight, I would say your comment was accurate, and that you probably did not mean to criticize her performance harshly. It would not be good for you to withhold your reaction to her other performances based on the negative feedback you received. She is obviously very talented, and this performance, I Put a Spell on You, is classic. At the age of 10 she certainly delivered a stunning show of emotion for this song...more than almost any other performer I have heard. She adapts her voice to the particular song she is singing, and this performance is one of her strongest. So, I enjoyed your reaction, and I hope you react to her other performances...

Your channel says you’re a jazz singer, you can say anything, but you might begin your comments with, to me it seemed …., I felt ….., making them your observations and options, rather than she was …. Which sounds like an attack to some. You can see she has a huge very loyal fan base who unfortunately will attack you to defend their little girl who’s growing up before our eyes. I’d like to hear your opinions based on your experience as a jazz singer. Keep it up and don’t take the stinging comments to heart. Cheers from an old (71) fan in Australia 🇦🇺

Her little "mistakes" is what makes her believable. She is a child...not a machine. A mispronounced word...a missed beat....who cares? It can't be easy singing in a different language.

Siwah, je pense que le mot que tu cherchais est "réinventer", Angelina a réinventé cette chanson (comme d'autres) et une fois de plus, en a fait la sienne.[Siwah, I think the word you were looking for is "reinvent," Angelina reinvented this song (like others) and once again, made it her own.]

You don't need theme music behind your words to legitimise what you have to say. It is interesting in its own right but sounds actually less authentic and heartfelt with the droning muzak. IMHO.
