I feel like the fans of SFU are like a family of outcasts that understand something special about the band that other people just dont get.. the band rules on so many levels!!!

For real dude, a unique band, love every single song. I got the chance to see them live and was absolutely amazing. Fuck the haters, SFU RULEZ!!!!

dude exactly, i know nobody else that loves SFU like i do, people think i'm weird to like this band......there is nothing else like SFU out there, closest being Obituary or Bolt Thrower but it's different. Sadly, since the guys left the band( Terry and Greg and Steve) the band is different, still good but there is nothing like the albums before death rituals.

I love the slower tempo groove of SFU's earlier sound. I thought it was clever. So many catchy songs because of that formula. I personally really liked death Rituals. Killed in your sleep is such a good song.

best band ever - WHY IS EVERYONE ganging up on Chris? Herd mentality? The guy practically helped invent death metal. People like to hate what's popular to hate - lost souls Takes guts to put a dance-beat to death metal - he's the Pavarotti of our generation

People don't hate what he did but what he's become. He's been a big part of death metal but the last few years besides his voice being shot, his views, statements and overall internet presence has turned him into a clown. It's more sad than it's funny.

@@hephaestusofficial I haven't seen anything damning. I don't really use the internet, sometimes youtube, but no social, no podcasts etc. I heard him say he didn't like today's metal, and next to classic morbid angel to me it's a downward slope of gimmicks like the high hat drum thing. As far as death metal, but there's been great new stuff from bands who took a page from death ss or thou art lord, like the old made new and better. I do still buy new metal, but I have learned to be very choosy, because there are alot of good bands with no fire, dig

Because he sounds ridiculous nowadays plus has a big mouth. If you haven't released anything decent in ages, sound this bad and didn't contribute anything to the scene You have no right to talk about the "state of death metal", it's as simple as that. Dudes a clown and rightfully gets clowned on

@@hephaestusofficialWe all have opinions and he's just vocal about his and that's okay. Yes he does block people on Twitter or whatever but it's always because someone is being disrespectful or name-calling not just for sharing an opinion or being a fan. I've been following him on there for years and been nothing but nice and I'm still not blocked. He just cuts that kinda senseless negativity out of his life is all. And as for his vocals being "shot" while I agree his vocals aren't what they used to be or anything like that I also understand that chris has ALWAYS done the raw and natural approach to doing vocals. I've even asked their drummer Lord Marco about his vocals and he flat out said that he doesn't like doing effects or reverb and prefers to go l raw and just give it his all. So I respect him for that. Plus besides nightmares of the decomposed I personally don't think he sounds bad at all. Sure it's different but thats fine to me. It just makes him unique and standout amongst all the different box standard cookie monster vocalists. I know your comment was written before killing for revenge came out but chris has proven that he CAN still give not just a passable performance but at least in my opinion a GREAT one. Also keep in mind that Chris has always changed up how he sings on every album he's ever been on. From Cannibal Corpse to Six Feet Under go listen to a track off every album and you'll easily see what I mean. I respect the hell out of him for constantly trying to change things up even if sometimes it falls flat. Bringer Of Blood and Nightmares is a good example of it not working in his favor but take a listen to True Carnage, Commandment, Undead, Unborn, or Killing For Revenge. Those albums prove that he can still do those old school vocals he used to be known for. He just likes to experiment.
