SIX MONTHS OF RECORD SNOWFALL IN MOUNT BALDY | 4K

November 8, 2022 came the first storm in SoCal for the season and got its last one last May 5, 2023. It was a six months total, half a year that this mountain received great amount of snow in record time. In between these months, people got injured, lost or died and still missing. Truly a gem in our backyard but also a dangerous place to play.
As of writing, it is still not a casual hiking season up in Baldy. Don't forget that your life depends on the right decision you are going to make when facing dangers up there.

Thanks, Lonnie! It’s always different every time I’m up there. Yeah, I’m loving the poles.. it sure lit up the dark trail. Soon I’ll experiment on using it in camp at night while cooking.

Nice hike.Did they ever find that dude who went missing last summer up there? He was semi- famous but I don't recall his name.

Thanks, Jim! His name was Julian Sands and he is still missing unfortunately. I just came down from Whitney and it was crazy up there. Didn’t summit but explored the area enough.
