For the thermal view: How can I define different "temperatures" for different assets? Do I set custom depth pass for those assets and then define different stencil values?

You can use custom stencil for that or you can have a heat map connected to the character base material and when you switch to thermal mode switch to that texture in the character model and use that

i get weird artifacting around the edge of the screen when saturating based on scene depth for the water effect. It works without it and still looks good but its a strange glitch

same problem :( Have you managed to solve it? Edit: this solution worked for me, try it yourself to see if it works the same for you. Change "SceneTexture Ambient Oclussion" for "SceneTexture BaseColor (as stored in Gbuffer)" and adjust the colors afterwards. good luck ;)

Hi! I'm trying to create a post process effect where I achieve a very stylized look of silhouettes. I've been able to do that with an effect similar to the thermal vision and other effects on your channel but I started thinking if it was possible to retain the texture of the object to get some even more 2D-cartoon look. Celshading is one thing, but the problem with cel-shading is that you retain self-shadows and that kind of ruins the effect I'm aiming for. Do you have any tips or tricks that could help me? For an idea of what I'm aiming for think of the 2D elements in the opening credits to Casino Royale. Creating something like a roulette wheel would be murder with my current implementation, but if I could just remove all self-shading I could end up with the suitably flat result I'm after!

Underwater effect can be added to a small postprocess volume with infinit bound unchecked so it will only be visible inside the cube.

Most postprocess effects won't work on mobile. But some of these effects might work with forward shading if you are using that for VR. Try turning on mobile HDR in the project settings.

The thermal behaviour has a few issues. First off the angle changes the color. Secondly, the 3 color blend doesn't actually do anything... and finally you skip several steps where the fresnel went from normal to exponentIn to 1minus into an alpha... for what reason??
