Hi Nick! Love your videos. They have been a great help for me. I am cutting 3mm basswood with the sticky adhesive paper on the back, but the cut doesn't go all the way thru. I tried "lower the focus" but it doesn't quite "cut" it. Is there a better setting with only 1 pass? 2 passes takes too long. Thanks for your help!

Wow. Lots of good info. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Super helpful.! I live in your area. Is there any way I can pay you to give me a quickie (if there is such a thing) lesson on tips for the PS2. It's on its way... . Please. 😊

You should use pegs to hold the masking holder in place. What are you feeding that kid. He's barely a teenager and looking like a grown man! Love seeing him helping you, he'll be grown and moved out before you know it.

Totally! Was a bit too ambitious with the scale of the project. But really wanted to show all the variations and options. Hope to have it wrapped up soon! Keep wondering if folks will even care, so it’s great to hear there are some interested in it!

When you held up the acrylic blank, it appeared to be 1/8 inch or 3mm material, which is .125 decimal. However, you said it was 1/25th of an inch. That is .04 decimal - which is 2 thousandth less than 1/16. Rest of the video was great & very informative!
@SixEightWoodworksАй бұрын
Yep, it’s super thin. That’s why I love it as opposed to the 1/8” or 3mm. Great material for top layers as it’s ridiculously thin. Mostly use 1/8 or 3mm, but this 1/25” is super nice for a lot of decorative layer applications.
@DesignCuttersАй бұрын
@@SixEightWoodworks OK I stand corrected - it's like laserthins or Gemini or Rowmark similar laser acrylic.
@rondamschroder89209 күн бұрын
3mm is way less than .125
@DesignCutters8 күн бұрын
@@rondamschroder8920 I suppose by some standards it is WAY less - 3mm is .11811 - a difference of .00689 when compared to 1/8 of an inch. Way less to me is when you go buy a 2x4 and measure what you actually get.
@rondamschroder89208 күн бұрын
@DesignCutters I'm a retired manufacturing engineer so .001 is Country mile. When are trying to burn thru ...there is a big difference between. 118 & .125. It won’t go thru .125.

I've had my D1 pro for about a year and just got it set up. It stopped working after my 4th project using the materials that came with my machine. I have emailed, left voicemails, submitted a ticket and requested a call back. No response. I finally got someone on chat who ran through some things with me, but then couldn't help me and said he would pass me off to another tech. It's been a week and still no help!
