As a knicks fan currently watching them get blown out I'm so confused about this team one night they're going toe to toe with two of the best teams in the league other nights they get blown out by the magic or lose to some injury filled team I don't understand what's the issue last season we played amazing defense and attest tried on offense now it looks like if the offense isn't working the team gives up on defense its absurd

When your players are tired, either from workload or minutes, they get injured easier! It's the little yellow battery looking thing when you go to your rotation screen. Also the players perform worse throughout the season. If you want to turn it off then it's the progressive fatigue option. I always make the workload higher for my young guys who don't get minutes

Oh just a reminder, pay attention to those secondary mins. Just saw a year where you only had 31 PG mins with no secondary. That’s how you end up with absurd rotations where they’ll randomly play a big at PG lol.

You do realize that the point of the 2021 Knicks offseason was to do exactly what you did and make a trade for someone. The upcoming free agencies are terrible, Knicks wanted to operate over the cap.

Does anyone actually like having injuries on, even for realistic rebuilds? I don’t get what it adds entertainment wise. Realistic rebuilds to me just mean not making super crazy trades & FA signings, and rules on. F injuries

I always keep them off for me, 2k usually have way too many injuries happening so frequently, as well they always set the potential number back to their current rating after the season is done heading into player progression, for example scottie barnes potential right now is a 89 in his first season, next season he progresses to a 85-86, but his potential is reseted to a 85-86, which doesn't make sense

I’ve been trying to figure out why injuries... 1. Happen so often. 2. Why the durations are wayyyyy off (like the Ivy one in this video). Happens in all my rebuilds as well. I started turning my injury rate down to 39 to make it a little more realistic in terms of how often.

It’s pretty crazy how often injuries happen irl honestly people don’t even realize the true frequency of them since most are only a week, or a couple/few weeks, etc. Especially with the protocols that adds a lot, but even beside that. But ya idk why their injury duration is so weird. People come back after 3 weeks from a broken leg lol. And regardless of irl it is tedious to have all of these one week injuries and stuff making you stop simming. I’d definitely recommend turning the injury rate down too. Maybe turn the injury rate down to like 30 but up the injury duration to like 60 or something? That way there’s not as many, but when they do happen they actually matter. Idk what the perfect balance is between those two sliders but 50s on both definitely isn’t great.

At 29:38 what is that the 2024 draft? Is that a real draft class or did you auto generate? Just wondering. Pick 28 is a 78ovr with 13 badges, and it’s weird bc if you look where it shows his age and stuff it says N/A (Euro-Stash) for his contract, but it doesn’t show that little thing next to his name that Euro stashes have. The gold thing that says how many years he’s overseas, and it seems like he’s not actually a Euro-Stash. He’s also only 18yo. Then Pick 30 is a 78ovr too, but with 16 badges. Pretty crazy overalls/badges for pick 28/30 especially when they’re 18 and 19 only. If that’s a created draft class it’s obviously not the greatest lol. Depending on what rebuild you’re doing it’s cool to see the 2022 draft class and 2023 draft class, but obviously they’re going to be pretty OP, and this early in the year the 2022 class (like mocks and big boards) are gonna be shifting like crazy constantly. Some guys who were proj to be top 8 picks before the college season started have dropped to the 20s and some guys have come out of nowhere to be in the T10 now. So beyond the names there’s nothing much realistic about them obviously. Not trying to nitpick, I personally prefer auto-generated draft classes most of the time (especially after 2022) but I don’t really care either way, just saying. For fantasy ones it’s fun to see Emoni Bates in ‘23 class and stuff, but yea pretty much any user created class this early in the year is gonna be not so good. They just don’t update them enough and stuff changes so much. It’s too bad we don’t have guys like EmbraceThePace or w/e his name was anymore who used to make crazy good draft classes and update them nonstop. Anyway I’ll end my tangent. I was thinking at least turn the injury frequency down. It’s just annoying a lot of the time. When someone gets hurt for like the season or months that’s one thing, but those couple week injuries just stop simming really. Could mess w/ sliders and make it like 20 injury frequency and 60 injury duration idk. I’m not a big fan of injuries on ANY rebuild but I get some ppl want them for some reason.
