I didn't hear it personally, but I read that Geoff said he stayed in his chest voice all the way through. Either way, the man's a beast! He's so nimble in his vocals. He just bounces around the octaves like a freakin ping pong ball! But he keeps it smooth. He never sounds forced or strained and even at his lowest, he never loses the words. You can always understand him whereas many basses that can hit that note just lose the words. All you really get is the sound. One thing about this pandemic, a lot of the members of our a capella groups have had time to expand their horizons. They sound stronger and rejuvenated. I've always loved this song, but Geoff took it to another level. Great reaction as always! ❤

You really were looking for the sub-harmonic, but there wasn’t any! I am not shocked it was all chest voice! I am old, so I remember the original (well not clearly, but I remember the tune a little). So… I understand that you’re almost certainly past looking at the comments for this video. But, here’s the deal. Yes, he and everyone in your comments says that this was all chest. However, as a pretty well trained bass singer, I can tell you that there were 3 subharmonic notes in this song. WALKED TO THE mine, walk the LINE, and step ASIDE. But, for me, the most impressive and hardest to recreate note in this song is the low sixteen TONS near the end. It’s full chest, but weirdly light.

Also, quick tip: You should rebalance the audio for your intro/outro. The music is super loud and jarring when compared to your speaking voice. I'd lower their volume or possibly try to find less... intense music for them. The main part of the video was nice and fun, but going from a 3 to about an 8 in volume and intensity is kinda jarring. Especially since my net cut out for a while and I'd forgotten how much I needed to turn you up to easily hear you speak post-intro.
