Yes I was recommended to do an extra 9 hours of work outside of class per subject. And I definitely didn't do that consistently, but for the few weeks I did, I saw a huge improvement in my ability and felt comfortable in class as I was ahead of most people. I definitely recommend this! The more time you give to your studies, the better the outcome will be. Loved this! :) 💛

It's gonna be really weird at my sixth form. There's over 800 students at mine so we've had to break down days. Students will be in for 2 days every 2 weeks, either Monday/tuesday or Thursday/Friday. The rest of our classes will be at home. So 2 out of 10 school days will be at college. I wish it was just normal lol

Lowkey didn’t make notes at all, think it’s a waste of time but depends on you as an individual. Got mostly A*s and some As in every mock by simply doing tons of past papers as well as doing homework’s on time, helping others (which helps you) and by reading ahead on exactly what we’ll be covering that week.

this was so helpful thank you! i’m starting year 12 next week and i’ve been unsure of whether to do a health and social care btec or a levels in sociology, english language and health and social care. i’ve always been average at school, i didn’t get A*’s but i didn’t fail my exams either. i’ve always thought i’m not capable of a levels because of my mental health and how i respond to stress, but i’ve decided to try them out so i start at a sixth form next week. is it as hard as people say to just pass a levels? i’m not striving to achieve A’s because i think it would come at the risk of losing my happiness. please can someone give me advice x
@ImmieSophie4 жыл бұрын
I’m so glad you found it helpful. Good luck at sixth form!! A Levels aren’t easy but if you work hard there’s no doubt that you’ll pass. But as you said, don’t sacrifice your mental health in order to do well, because mental health is so important 💛 xx

How many free periods did you get a week? I am doing Philosophy, Sociology and Geography which are heavy essay based subjects. Would it be good for me to study a lot during the free periods or just go over the content that was in class.
@ImmieSophie4 жыл бұрын
Umm I can’t actually remember how many I got a week, I’m sorry :/ I think the best thing to do is make revision notes of what you covered in class, so that you have them already made when you go back to study those topics in the future, but it’s really up to what you prefer :))
