Nikki these kids are the next biggest thing in rock n roll. To the people who say that they are a Led Zeppelin rip off. I ask you! Do you like Led Zeppelin? If yes. Then what’s the fuckin problem!?!? Cuz they sound great. Their phenomenal live. Best rock sound out there right now. Real rock sound.
@Module79L7 жыл бұрын
The problem is that they took the easy way, instead of doing their own thing and be good at it. That's usually a sign of some lack of song-writing skills. Next thing they'll be doing Led Zeppelin covers...
@timothycormier34947 жыл бұрын
Module79L they already do Led Zeppelin. Like full sets too. But their original stuff is really good. Big Zeppelin influence. There’s one song that sounds like it’s straight off the first rush album. I hear ya with the originality problem. But listen to the whole album. They’ve definitely got their own sound. Besides they’re still young. Plenty of time to grow
@Module79L7 жыл бұрын
But see, that't the problem: if I want to listen to Led Zeppelin, I go and listen to them, if I want to listen to Rush, I go and listen to them, not to a band that's pretending to be them. The same could be said about the songs that sound like another existing bands. In my opinion, they're starting the wrong way and either it'll be difficult for them to step away from that "brand" in the future or their fans won't be pleased when they change (if they do). The music world needs new stuff, not recreations of the past.
@timothycormier34947 жыл бұрын
Module79L point taken. I get what your saying. But the same can be said about Zeppelin. Cuz they ripped off almost all of their stuff from older American blues. Note for note. Rush was a blatant ripoff of triumph. So much so that you can’t tell the two apart sometimes. Influence is what drives us as musicians. Playing the music we love
@Module79L7 жыл бұрын
Who didn't, back in the day? It was all they had. Even Ritchie Blackmore addmitted that he stole Black Night's riff from another band! Influence is a different thing. My influences don't make me go about copying them. ; )

Greta Van Fleet are awesome! Rockin old school and hard! Love both their albums, million times better than most of the shit on the radio these days! These young guys have talent and their music is just awesome! 🤘🤘

Classic Rock Nouveau!! I can't remember the last time I was this excited about hard rock! With all their touring I hope they can find the time to write some new tunes.

One day the band will watch this and talk about everything going on in their lives at this point in time and how it was so new

Jake can play. He should get better. He plays dirty. (He's playing while we make comments from a keyboard) Rock on !! If you don't like Greta Van Fleet, it's OK. Enjoy your Motley Crue. (another band that people seem to love to bash)

that's good, because I don't like them much. Just are not my cup of tea. But how much time does that guitar player need to get better? This band has already been around for 6 years and finally managed to release an album. Yet everyone thinks they're some "new band."

@@robertwheatley3225 you realize that half of the band was in middle school 6 years ago, right?

Its easier for me to play for a crowd then in a small room with few people. He prob just wasnt warmed up.
