GoPro or "GlitchPro" Frustrated 🤦🏻with Gopro hero 9 Black GREEN screen FREEZE & Crashes

This is the second device that's behaving this way.
Earlier this year I had the same issue with my older Hero 9 Black, which was later replaced by this one.

Apparently they sell their products in India & yet it cannot be repaired here, as they have no service centre around. So, they sent me this one as a replacement, same model & same glitches.🤦🏻
I only feel that time is wasted, nothing else!
After spending this much money I feel that the product itself & support should have been more appropriate.
Don't know what's wrong!🤷

There's no fix for that besides toss it in the trash or fight with GoPro to return it. Mines doing similar crap and it's the most unreliable thing I've bought for a camera. GoPro is making money simply off the brand name.

I agree with you. I already bought 2 versions of go pro both of them are making the same issue. Don't know why people are hyping go pro. I got a insta360 and been using it often. I never experienced any problem.

Your best bet is getting the camera replaced. I even tried hard resetting & manually upgrading the firmware via USB, that too didn't work.

Best option is look for replacement at Hero. Or as a few suggested, try replacing memory card or battery.

I was facing the same issue and I mailed all of GoPro's available mails and DMs, they gave me an update to install manually via the SD card and it worked like a charm. but just in 2 days it started behaving worse and then when I got on a call with the @GoPro assistance team from abroad they told to me to factory reset it. Voila...now the display is not even visible due to the pink and green glitchy lines and constantly shuts down and restarts. Now they're blaming me saying that I must have dropped it or its the display issue. where the display was working fine all along. its some OS or other issue and now no one is responding. Both front and back screens are giving me the glitchy issue.

I can totally feel your frustration... I've been there. I'm convinced it is some sort of software flaw. Hope they fix it & address the service issue, or else HERO is doomed.

@@SamJoie just a partial update, I tried connecting it to the usb and it works fine while charging… so it possibly could be a battery issue as well which GoPro team hasn’t mentioned… I’m going to purchase one tomorrow or day after.. you can try this as well… it worked really fine last night while it was charging without any glitch.

@@nandavamsikrishna Oh yes there’s a great positive response with what I tried and it worked like a charm. So the reason behind this is the battery if you’re facing the same issue. I ordered the GoPro Enduro battery (the one we get with GoPro 9 is blue and I purchased the white one called enduro for those who don’t know) it’s a high performance battery and now my GoPro works perfectly and also runs for more time due to this upgrade. Hope this helps everyone facing the issue and solves the matter as it did for me 🙌🏻🙏🏻 Gave it to local 3rd party shop with my old battery to still just check the issue after I resolved it and they even mentioned the same. That it’s the battery issue and not the display or due to it falling down the way GoPro customer care had mentioned and tried to make me go for a new purchase. If at all worried to make a new purchase, just try with this battery that someone or some showroom has to check. I bought it directly from Amazon and it all worked right for me.

Officially no! But if you talk to the customer support & convince them, they might arrange for a replacement. It is possible.

Replacement is the best option, in some cases changing battery or SD card is also working.

I just came to know, the main issue is batter, charging the battery with a different cable instead of the one that comes with the device is the main problem is what I saw, I saw the batteries are slightly bulged @@SamJoie

Give it a try with new battery & let us know if it works. As you can see I tried to run it directly via charging cable, even then it glitched. I am not convinced its a bettery issue.

It worked totally fine, I've tried with cable and recorded for 10-15 mins, It worked like magic @@SamJoie Probably, if you're directly connecting the cable to a power source, that could happen again, I've tried connecting the GoPro to my Laptop and it worked. Give it a try

Just remove your SD card and it will start working Then just format your SD card and put it in your camera again. It will work most probably.

There is no original repairing centre. I had to get it replaced from Singapore, by contacting customer care.

You could try your luck with reset or updating firmware. As far as repair goes, I didn't find any support for repairs. GoPro only provides replacement, that too if the product under warranty or you're a subscriber.
