You guys make me proud. My family immigrated from Norway in the late 1800’s. My grandmother’s side is where my Norse blood comes from (The Berg’s, The Hangers). My grandmother gave me my love of nature, and was the one person in my life who raised me with love basically becoming my mother. My great grandfather had a rule, Nobody in the house eats until the animals are taken care of first, and I can feel that love coursing through my veins. I love my Norse blood, I love the Norse pantheon, I love the ancestors and I love everyone reading this! Skál!

Привет sunshine, I remember you, saw your comment somewhere. Your mom is russian, isn't she?😊 In general, I believe that the main task of the Indo-European peoples is to make a single pagan faith. I think it's not difficult. A careful study of the myths of European peoples clearly traces one root. Especially clearly reflected - the battle of the god of thunder with a serpentine monster, some kind of central plot.

Hearing the melodies that these modern bards have put out there makes me want to invent time travel, so that I could experience the lifestyle that was the time period they sing about! I only came across their music three days ago because Spotify said "you might like this....", and I must say I am thoroughly hooked. The members should be hailed as saviors of the language, and for peeking the worldwide interest in the Nordic music/poetry. Knee jerk reaction makes me want to go and harvest a stag, fashion a battle helmet and reside in a longhouse on the coast of Iceland. I probably would not survive but it would be spiffy for the moments I were alive. All hail Odin!
