I wish I owned such a store for real... and had the necessary customer base too. :)
Here is something for the gearheads, weapon collectors and roleplayers. Obviously if you don't like Steampunk you should move on.
For those who don't know what Steampunk is: It's basically Science-Fiction based on the idea of the Victorian age advancing its technology and society in a different direction, mechanical rather than digital. Sometimes magic and mysticism may also be part of a Steampunk fantasy world.
The blades shown in this video are:
1.) An older Roman gladius by Raven Armoury (mid 1990s)
www.raven-armou...
2.) North Star Cutlass by Privateer Armoury
www.seekyee.com...
3.) Karambit by Traditional Filipino Weapons
traditionalfili...
4.) A knife from a company I don't want to promote
(sorry, I've come to despise their CEO too much)
5.) Bowie knife by Yukon Gear
www.canadiantir...

"I wish I owned such a store for real... and had the necessary customer base too." I would be the first one there, trust me. Actually I really wish this was a real thing the more I think about it. My two weapons of choice would be a Spatha with a guard and pommel for close quarters melee capabilities and a Dirk for confined spaces and stealth. Also it's slender blade can fit fit into all the nooks and cranny's of the skull, on the type I'm thinking of anyways.

Rather extravagant role playing, truly, the finest I've seen in all my years of doing as such. To speak as though you were such an individual, and to act in the same fashion, most -- how does one such as I put it in words? oh well, I suppose the best I shall say is that it's extraordinary.

Did you have a script for this? It seems very well rehearsed.

bigchunk1 No, it was improvised. Although I had to do several attempts to get it right.

***** Well it's pretty well done. It's difficult to role play like that without a script, especially without a cut.

As someone who really couldnt give 2 shits about steampunk or cosplay, I have to say you did a very good job with the video. The theatrics and costumes are spot on. Good job man

Sweet... I love steampunk. Also, your wonderful portrayal of this character (Byron Pursebane... indeed!) has already given me some great ideas for characters in my own fictional universe. I really like dark, sly, and crafty characters like this.

***** Hehe... yeah, that definitely wasn't a good idea. You're actually supposed to go up the side of the mountain and fight your way to the old church. However, there IS a reason to venture into New Londo (ghost territory) in the beginning: there is a way to get a quick Estus Flask upgrade that way. Granted, it's a suicide run, but you'd end up starting out with a +1 Estus Flask before getting into the game proper. There are several little tricks you can do to boost you up in the beginning... I really need to make a video about it.

Let's be real though - I still can't get over people who call weapons "her", or name them after wives, girlfriends or models. The business of killing is NOT a business for lovers, unless you are Bonnie & Clyde, and you seen how that ended up. No, the business of killing is a BEASTLY business, so one's weapon should have a BEASTLY name. Like Rover, or Rex, or Smaug (yeah - I got you J.R.R. fans) Think about it this way; would you make LOVE to your weapon? No? Why? That's right - it's a vicious and cruel lover - if it is even capable of love. Even when it pretends to be a lover, it's still awkward, perilous, or at the very least, unpleasant. If you name a weapon, remember it's purpose.
