I’ve had decks that have had the writing on the horizontal graphics in different directions as far as being both nose to tail and tail to nose. I can visually tell which is the nose and the tail, but the whole thing with the graphics made me keep second guessing myself, so this video with the exact measurements really helped give me peace of mind in what I already knew.

Thanks for the exact explanation about the difference between nose and tail. I had a feeling I had the right sides but in the end I guess it doesn't matter a whole lot. Now I can label my board accordingly.

Are the "pivot cups" replaceable? Mine get worn out over time and then the board trends to slant when I'm on it. I hate having to wait and buy new trucks just to get that "level" feel again.

How can I tell which side is the tail and which is the nose when I’m standing on my board. Like is there an easy way I can quickly tell without getting eye level or using a tape measure??

Some people will add a colored bolt to the front or make a line in their griptape on the tail end. Otherwise, the nose is generally slightly longer than the tail, which you will get a feel for the more you skate.

I've skated the nose as the tail as well and have gotten super used to it lol...just got a new board and am gonna try it out the supposed right way? See how it feels. Apparently, you want the nose to be bigger so that it can catch your foot when you kick it to do an ollie et cetera. And the tail is smaller and slightly closer to the ground for more pop and such. But not all boards have a nose or a tail designated sometimes they have the same dimensions and i'm sure there are custom decks out there who call the bigger end the tail so...fuck it do what works for you

@@drasticheart Sounds like the bushings need breaking in. Which is totally normal with a new setup. Basically the more you ride it, the more the bushings will break in and straighten out. Until then, when your weight is in the board it shouldn't be affected by the tight bushings.
