2:50 why do the wheels need to have a little bit of play on the trucks?

+ivoman7 If they're too tight it increases friction and reduces speed. it can also cause the wheels to bind causing you to come to a grinding halt... no fun.

does buying a blank deck from you guys, mean it is lower quality then a $30 - $50 deck? I would like to buy your brand deck, but I dont want to waste money on something poorly put together. I am not sure about blank decks. It will be my first purchase of a skateboard.

+fly Joseph Hey, we all really like our blank decks! I would say the quality is damn near the $50 pro decks, if not on par. I'm skating one of our Fast decks right now, and it holds its own against any of the many pro decks I've skated. As far as the life of the decks, the blanks hold up just as well as any other standard 7-ply maple board. For a first skateboard, I would say you can't go wrong!

We just use screw drivers that have been grind down. I'm sure you could find a poker at a hardware store though.
