When I played hockey years ago I was a defenseman and I would get them profiled for that position. But I didn't sharpen my skates every game usually every other or so. I feel it's more of a personal decision for each player.

My 18 yr old daughter would like to learn to skate. She is going to use my older skates to try. Is it easier to learn on dull or sharp blades.

$25 for the skate shop sharpening (sparx machine) not sure about the manual sharpening

Hey cidyyx, yep Aimee is correct - $25 for the Sparx machine, $30 for a manual sharpening. You'll need to leave your skates with us for the manual sharpening. Hope this helps :)
