This stuff is just insane. I was a fairly serious skater like 30 years ago. I wasn't a pro or anything but I was considered pretty good for that time period. I'm pretty sure that none of us back then could have even imagined how far the younger generations were gonna take it. I can't even wrap my head around most of this stuff. Us old dudes were riding in a horse and carriage, these dudes are flying in a space shuttle. Damn, how did I get this old, this fast?

I’m almost the same way- except: isn’t it cool though that some of the sickest flow and execution in our 80’s skate brains is now being realized? You’re not dead yet my friend, and with the right maintenance or choices you could be ripping it alongside the young inside of a couple years. When I retire do you think I’m gonna golf? Maybe with my dad if possible but I like to think that I’ll probably start soul-skating full time again

Everybody started with putting one foot on the board and the other one on the ground. We were all beginners at one point.

Practice. It'll take some time, but once you get the hang of skateboarding, it can go really fast with learning new tricks. I can't do a proper kickflip, even though I've been skating for years as a kid and a couple now that I'm adult, but I've mastered hand tricks pretty well. Can easily do a caveman kickflip body varial and caveman double kickflip (which technically is just a flip since there's no kick in it) Different people develop different styles, is what I'm trying to get at.
