Skateboarding in My 40s: Backside Airs and Handplants

In this short video, I’m learning how to backside air and working toward handplants. It’s a work in progress, but I managed to land a few backside airs. The handplants still need time, but this fun session was all about trying new tricks and pushing myself. If you’re out there working on your own skateboarding progression, take your time, stay patient, and enjoy the ride!

Thanks! I was super surprised with the handplants, once my body could bend I was able to start moving towards the motions of a handplant.

It only takes a little wd40 on the joints then you can reach all the way down there 😂 I watched a guy on instagram he said anyone could do them 😂

Do the 56 mm Nano's give you wheel bite with the Thunder? I ride 52mm on my Thunders, but I have .125 risers and was wondering about getting bigger wheels.

Hi! So far no wheel bite, I did buy risers in case and haven't had to use them. I also have a pair of 60's and those are definitely to big, thats why I ended up with 56 nanos...which have been great wheels
