On the warpseer vs deceiver I admit they both have their uses. Deceiver's strength lies in his ability to mess up with battle tactics giving you yet another headache to 3 clawstep. The teleport I would wager is more battle tactic screwed than 2" more for already existing ability. And with scurry away he'll be near impossible to kill with melee which has it's value. Also damage wise yes deceiver is better. Warpseer might have higher max but damage has more than just that. There's rend, to hit and to wound all which deceiver equals or better(rend, to hit). Also deceiver has crit mortals. Warpseer doesn't :D In short 5+ save or less even with crit mortal deceiver wins(and this is warpseer's best target). Any save better than 5+ just helps deceiver. Warpseer is also more vulnerable to -1 to hit debuffs. The ONE case where warpseer damage outperforms is -1 damage targets but those are rare. Warpseer's strenght thus isn't combat obviously. It's good points are cheaper points, extra spell and that strike last. Your combo of warpstone charm + strike last is something you need to focus with warpseer to get most use out of it. For deceiver scurry away and then start aiming to screw enemy battle tactics and provide better punch where needed.

@@40KWill I agree though the Warpseer is 70 points less. Also another thing I never mentioned is the warpseer's flexibility in list building. Deceiver can only take Eshin units but because the Warpseer is masterclan you can take anything. I definitely experienced the downside of the Warpseer today when I got hit with that rather devastating -1 to hit/wound but I still stand by the Warpseer even if the deceiver comes down as he has way more utility overall.

Just a thought but for skarbrand regiment wouldn't skullreapers or　something better than reavers? Less easy slay entourage and some proper honour guard bonus :) (also not　really sure is priority target worry enough to not pick some honour guard. I mean what doesn't one shot 10 reavers :) )
