Skaw Beach to Sois 6,7 & 8 22nd June, includes 13/1 13/2 and Beach Road

I’m sure people will appreciate a look along beach road etc especially those not been here before. Nice looking bar that first one with the cheap beers. Bit off the beaten track, be Interesting to see how busy it is in the evening. A lot of Soi 6 bars don’t open until 3pm now. Times changed. Years ago you parked on the red/white painted areas at your peril, you would be towed away. Then it got slack, now looks like it’s returned to old ways. Not only the rental places raining all the spaces but motorbike taxis too and if you dare park in “their area” you are asking for trouble. Them bars at the front of beer garden were never busy even in the hey day, only the very front one sometimes.

Beach road foot path is complete...they had dug up so much to lay cables. Looks good now

It was awful during high season but credit where it’s due it’s actually pleasant to walk along there now

They closed the beer garden down (near walking entrance street)? No one can no longer eat and drink at that bar? I took very nice photos of Pattaya from that place last year.

It's an interesting thought! Making Soi 6 pedestrian only except for delivers early morning. Yeah I would get that, mostly people driving down there just to look at the ladies at the bars! 😀

Hey David, Yeah that is Palm29 behind you really good coffee and always good Happy hour deals. It also is technically on .an off/on ramp so NO motorbikes are allowed to park in front of it @2:08 I stayed at Scandalic Bar and Rooms. Great price and very quiet, It is a Swedish social/club/sports bar.

10-12 years ago, I could spend all night on sois 13/1 & 2. Great vibe, lots going on. Steady decline, and then C19 compounded things. Verrrrrry slow recovery. My prediction: with the change in demographic on Walking Street, many Western/Aussie farangs are being displaced. Smart money might invest in sois 13/1 & 2. I'm not saying I'd want to see them become the new Soi 6, but perhaps rent/rates are cheaper than Sois 7&8, making the area a better bar investment option? Just look how Chaiyapoon has changed in less than 10 years...

Pre-Covid, Pattaya Beer Garden was very popular for freelancers sitting at the bar. Now, we don’t even bother with Walking Street anymore! It’s just a circus sideshow with a lot of closed businesses and too many Indian bars. 👃

With extra bollards on all the side streets it made getting the bike onto WS pretty hard. I have done a couple of walking ones but definitely not a regular feature at present 🙏🙏

Stayed at the Rising Sun Bar in Soi 13 1 several times! Shame when the Thai landlord would not the English owner renew his tenancy even though he had been there quite a few years!! Cheap place to stay!

Been 45 timed and never wear a helmet when on back of a taxi bike and never on e been hassled by the police taxi bike guys must be pals with the police lol cause a few times when I'm on the back the guys give a thumbs up the police or vice versa
