that peach scene is something i did not expect to ever see in a nintendo game, given the implications of it and all. i'm more bewildered that the nintendo of the present didn't really change it either, i was half expecting them to make the potion turn the dress invisible or something. i guess it's still family friendly since you don't really _see_ anything, but still. i mean they changed her walking sounds for this specific event (iirc she just made no sounds when walking while invisible in the original, or maybe i just didn't notice the sounds)

Normally, I'd fully accept the use of a 64KB Floppy, simply because old physical media is cool. Maybe Grodus is just ahead of the curve here - after all, in today's day and age, physical media that's hard to read is becoming increasingly secure, with media nowadays going all-digital. As long as you have enough adapters, and a working drive, your diskettes won't ever be truly obsolete. And there's always the satisfaction of the good ol' KA-CHUNK that old media formats had (ah, UMDs... how I miss you so...). I guess TEC can't just read and interpret handwritten notes, hence why the invisibility potion instructions are unknown to him? After all, even nowadays, we have to rely on special OCR fonts (or, y'know, direct text fields), lest we get a bunch of gibberish as input. I guess they all just got stuck arguing over each of their parts of the puzzle, too - since the X-Naut PHDs never use potions that render them invisible. Or maybe they were stuck on the "only lasts for a few turns instead of forever" part of development... ... The conversation that must have happened regarding Implied Peach Nudity must have been *wild* to hear, especially since *this* is the end result they decided on - even adding bare footstep sounds in the remake. ... Then again, I've heard from a few interviews that sometimes, certain development groups in Nintendo games will slip in details that go unnoticed by project leads. (A prime example of this is the "Crumbling Infrastructure Ambience" that got slipped into the original Splatoon for the WiiU, which not only is premium creepypasta material, but totally eluded the rest of the development team until people online started freaking out over it.) I'm not sure if this is a similar case, since they've been cramming so many deliberate details into these HD remasters recently, but... Well, you can't help but wonder.

HHHHHHhhhh, hWHAT? okay, so they take out the phrase "that's indecent", but Then add in the MOST foot slappy sound EVER?! not only is that REALLY bad for a sneaking mission, it gives the impression that peach is a heavy footed cavewoman when out of shoes! why do this?

i also noticed this and it really does feel out of place. having no walking sound in the original was also weird but the solution isn't to give her one somehow louder than her normal one. i'm surprised the x-nauts didn't practically track her down by sound alone, then again they also chose to ignore the huge shadow on the ground and the mysterious voice explaining how the elevator doesn't work, so maybe they're just stupid

He realizes he’s down to his last shot and needs some advantage since he just wasn’t win otherwise. The “I gotta make a comeback line.” Makes more sense that way to me.

Which, combined with this being the one piece of invisibility-granting technology in Mario’s world to require you to strip, would explain why these potions don’t see much use.
