This plane N345GS is based out of Opa Locka Airport along with it's other siblings Covairs C- 131F N342GS and N343GS . They fly by my house almost every day between Opa Locka airport and the Bahamas Islands, mostly to Nassau.

Niiiiice and a nice change of pace! I am so use to seeing these as 580's with the Allison Turboprops, seeing this is a treat!

For years I follow N24DR on FlightAware flying cargo out of south Texas but then one morning after flying all night it came up short at Toledo OH. Lost two pilots and a great old bird. I still think about it a lot.

Conquest Cargo's three C-131s (CV-340/440) are now the very last three piston-powered Convairliners actively operating anywhere in the world! There are no active CV-240, -300, -540, -600, -640, C-131, or T-29 airplanes. There are about two dozen turboprop-powered CV-580s and CV-5800s still flying.

And these piston planes are few like this, most with piston engines are the DC-3 and some fighters from the Second World War
