I just found your channel because I had purchased the aonijie vest and while waiting for it to come, I found your review of it. I'm currently training for my first half marathon and this shoe is at the top of my list to pick up for it. My rincon's are just about done (as are my clifton 6's) I've never run on hyperburst, but am currently am on my second pair of go run ride 7's. They are my favorite shoe of all time. They just do everything well. My longest run has been about 10 miles at about an 8:35 pace and that's about max effort for me for that distance, so hopefully I can keep that pace through the 13.1. Nice work on the review!

Your not wrong Fordy. Picked a pair up for 20 quid off eBay. Just got back from my first run. Sub 44 min 10K. I'd never have done that in my Clifton 5's. They want to make you run fast. Super comfy run. Can't fault them. Thanks for the great review 👍👍👍

@@FordyRuns i love this shoe, my only complaint is they're obliterated after about 200km worth of running! I bought another pair, but I was wondering if you could recommend a shoe of similar feel thats a bit harder wearing or more of a daily runner so I can use the sketchers a bit sparingly.

Definitely checking Skechers out for my next runners... Another question, but I noticed you got a new pair of Gliderides, at what point did you decide it was time to retire the red pair?

Ah my others were in such a bad way ... the original red were now brown! Don’t forget I’m down the canal paths that are dusty and muddy and shred outsoles pretty quick

Great content as always Fordy. Skechers performance is a serious contender with the Hyperburst foam. I love the Razor 3 for tempo workouts and 5-10k racing. Doesn’t work for me personally at slower paces, but great when you turn on the gas. Looking forward to the ‘+’ edition with improved upper and no giant ‘SPEED’ 😂

Several interesting points. I am a Skechers man from the word go! I do have a couple of non-related to shoe performance issues. 1. They badly need to change their naming system. It is soooo confusing. 2. Trouble getting them in the UK? Here in America, the retail outlets are many. Problem? The running shoe section in the retail stores is terrible!!! You can't get the model you want unless you go online. What little shoes they carry are models years and years in the past. Thanks for your review. I have decided to get a pair of speed/training shoes. Once again though the naming problem. They have a model on clearance for $99.98 which is called the GoRun Razor 3 Cloak which has a beautiful Zebra pattern color but it is the same shoe as review here, it is a Razor 3 period. Zebra's unite and stampede!!!

Got mine in black and white today. Holy Batman hyper burst is responsive. I had a low expectation with the upper but I’m pleasantly surprised. Getting a good lockdown took a bit of adjustment but a runners loop did it. By touch, the midsole compress easy so I am shock how responsive on foot through the contact and take off. The way the shoe feels reminds of the Atreyu Voyager but a more responsive midsole.

Couldn't agree more about the comparison between this and the Hyperion Tempo. I have several more expensive pairs of shoes but I honestly just love the way both of those shoes fit and perform. It's bouncy but not soft... plus both have great cinch

FORDY RUNS I was just thinking the other day about how popular the carbon-plated shoe is but honestly I might like the nitrogen-infused midsole technological advancement even better. I’m not going to stop racing in the Next% or anything but the nitrogen midsole really suits me. Keep up the great reviews!

Love this shoe! Perfect for 800-1200 intervals and 5K races. Prefer the NB Rebel for tempo work.

I’ve not tried the Boston 8 I’m not a big fan of Adidas not that they aren’t great ive never got one on with them except the SL20 which does have the light strike which is awesome! You’ve now got me thinking about Adidas so well done!!!

I run in the Skechers Forza 4. Its AMAZING! I am snagging another pair before the crowd finds out about hyperburst. You should try the Hyper Slide...my goodness, best slide ever. I am getting everyone in my family a set.

Update: I love this shoes!!! I'm just walking around my house in them and I think they are going to propel me into outer space ;-) Also, I got the "Cloak" read Zebra print version for $99.89 recently through clearance through Runner's Warehouse. Running in Zebra shoes is also giving me an irresistible urge to start a career as a rapper! Look our folks, these shoes are dangerous! :-)

I agree this pair of shoes is surprisingly enjoyable for easy running! It's light and firm and easy to change pace from easy to tempo for instance. Yes, I agree it's not for marathon; the farthest I took these shoes are for easy run 21.1K, and mostly 5-10 K easy or tempo. Too bad I can't find these anymore in Skechers Jakarta. They just ran out of stocks and won't see any new inventories for these particular shoes :(

I have this and a Saucony Triumph 17 in my rotation. Any other recommendations? I’m interested in the Novablast or another ASICS but don’t want to overlap too much.

Depends on where your gaps are ... I prefer the NB prism over the Novablast simply coz the foam was too soft but others love them!

Great shoe, i love the hyperburst midsole. But i’m not comfortable in that shoe. It fits weird. And i really don’t like the upper. So for me, the NB fuelcell rebel is a better shoe in that category. More comfort, better upper, and i even think that i prefere the fuelcell midsole. 🙂

Everybody is different. For me it was the complete opposite. The rebel toe box felt like it was made for a ballerina. It caused toe overlapping and I don't have wide feet. Plus the jacquard knit upper to me felt unstable. On the other hand; The Razor goes against the grain. Unlike most racers, the toe box is modest, it's got a wide foot base for stability and handles slower paces comfortably. The Razor 3+ is coming out in September with a different upper and Goodyear rubber outsole and the same Hyperburst foam. Maybe that iteration will work better for you.

@@rinolagace1298 I think the best thing about the upcoming Razor 3+ is it won't have the rediculous " speed " graphic spelled on the side of the shoe. It's like carrying your own cue stick around and everybody expecting you shoot pool like Minnesota Fats. To much pressure especially for a non elite like myself.

Skechers just annoy me. There website is beyond terrible! And as you mentioned they aren't all that good at getting their shoes out outside of the US. They are various racing shoes out in the US now - but we are left the Razor 3 which has been out for quite some time. However - due to the website and all the crazy named random shoes. Skechers are abit off putting. I think they are pretty cheap in the US - hence why Jamison Michael rave about them. But in the EU - they aren't any cheaper than other brands.
