Finally got some snow, though it melted quick and was really heavy and sticky. Took advantage of it anyway and had a lot of fun.

This is a fully 3D printable RC snowmobile. I have been designing and tweaking it for a long time now and I think it's time to start sharing how it is going.
This was designed from the very beginning with easy assembly and minimal purchased parts as the goal. I think I have accomplished that goal. Everything is printed except for: Electronics, screws, bearings, and shocks. It can be printed on a print bed 200mm x 200 mm or larger. Most items do not need any supports but there are a few that will need some.

Many of the parts of my design are inspired from other snowmobile projects that I have seen. I have reached out to those that some of my work might resemble. If you feel something looks similar to your work and you did not receive a message from me please reach out to me. Nothing in my design is a modified version of others work, All of it was hand made by me, but some may still resemble that of images I used for reference.
Disclaimer: Due to printer abilities being different and always changing, and the nature of an off road vehicle there is a good chance you will break parts. Luckily they should be easy to reprint and fix rather quickly. I will do my best to provide support through discord and if files are found in need up improvement I will do my best to improve and then include for free for those who have purchased the snowmobile. I give no guarantee that it will print perfect on your machine or that things will not break when you send the sled flying off a cliff.

OH NO 🤦‍♂️ just got to the end Wife drives: *Literally kills it* 😂😂🤙 When I thot my sled was good I just handed it to my brother and needless to say it’s “brother tested,” lol because he straight sends it!! Moral of the story: if u think ur sled is good, hand it to someone and u will find the weak points lol

Yeah, I'd been making the same mistake all day. letting off the throttle when you go airborne is kind of a reflex cuz it gets going so fast so quickly.

Is the snow really that hard on the sled? U can see how the skis and suspension are flexing so much when u turn and let off power. It’s probably hard on ur servo depending on how it’s set up but prolly not if u have a good setup! I like ur sled a lot but man I thought ur a arm mounts broke by the way the sled was “squatting,” in the front end. Awesome video!! 😎👋

The snow was terrible. It was hot and really slushy and sticky. Worst conditions there could be. But we bashed it around for more than an hour before that broke.

It was the ski that broke. The spindle and a-arms are tpu and take the hit pretty good. To be fair the ski had been on for a long time and that was a direct hit 😂

i just got mine done this past weekend and it is amazing. I'm gonna try out some different filament for the track and do the spindles in tpu. Thank you very much for the hard work this thing is awesome.

I think it goes by the same concept as just about everything, more power you put in something the more parts you’ll break. You can ask everybody on the discord channel their thoughts. I know someone put a huge 6S setup in theirs, not sure how well it’s done though.
