I think the popular opinion as to why he didn't leave earlier is kind of a combination of things, first, he didn't have a ship to escape and I think he is keeping his force sensitive nature a secret from his former crew so he wouldn't have an explanation if he was caught later and would have inquisitors on his trail. And then, the kids were loudly talking about their planet and the rumored treasure even if they sounded incredulous about that part.

Inquisitors were toast by then
@katesullivan4707Ай бұрын
@OptionZero i know, but given he seems to have avoided the main news and chosen life as a pirate, he might not entirely be aware that Order 66 and its progeny is over or at least that was what he grew up in fear of.

THIS is the kind of breath of fresh air Star Wars needs now more than ever. George Lucas famously said Star Wars was originally made for 12 year olds, and this show made me feel like a kid again.

OLD REPUBLIC credits
@RealBLAlleyАй бұрын
or old REPUBLIC credits. But other language suggests High Republic.
@hollywoodguy70Ай бұрын
@@RealBLAlley He would have said High Republic. and myths are created over millennia not mere centuries.
@RealBLAlleyАй бұрын
@@hollywoodguy70 Seriously? Myths can be created over months, and even on Earth we don't break down different eras that specifically. To people in this time frame everything that came before the Empire would likely be seen as the "Old Republic", hence the "New Republic" era they live in. Until we are given more information it's silly to state any theory as fact.

Nick Frost as SM-33 or as I’m calling him One Eyed WALL·E, is my new favorite humanoid droid. I haven’t fallen in love with a droid this hard, this fast, since K-2SO. He actually looks like an early model of that droid model but HIGHLY customized for fighting dirty. And I also love that he has a peg leg.

@@thedarkknight2221 SM 33 name is a Easter egg for Peter Pan. Do you remember the name of Captain Hook's first mate?

What if the general public on their planet still thinks it's The High Republic era?
@anthonyyoutubefan7567Ай бұрын
That's exactly what I believe. The collective DRAMA, TERRORS, and HORRORS of, The Great Hyperspace Disaster, The Nihil, The Drengir, The Nameless, and The Blight, caused the ones in control of At-Attin to self-withdraw/exile the planet from the rest of the galaxy, deceiving its citizenry it to believing everything is FINE with the rest of the galaxy, and that The Jedi are still about, protecting the galaxy. What's given the deception away, is that Fern's Mother referred to both, The Great Work and The Republic (NOT The New Republic). Republic Chancellor Lina Soh promoted and oversaw a series of Great Works throughout the known galaxy, during the height of The High Republic Era.

Definitely feels like the planet has been cut off since the great hyperspace disaster. The barrier reminds me of the Nihil. On top of that i have a theory the planet was one of the Credit Mints / planets of the republic

I think he is force sensitive, but he isn’t actually a Jedi, he’s just pretending to be one so he can get the kids on his side (remember, Fern mentioned the Jedi temple thing) and get At Attins treasure for himself

Jude Law said on a Late night show that his character “has the potential to use the force” after hiding a huge smile. He 200% said it without saying it. But his face was so giddy their was no hiding it. 😁
