Crimson Jack was from a Star Wars comic book that came out in 1977. He was a red haired pirate who got the Knick name Red Beard given to him by Han Solo.

I respect that they didn't stall telling (the audience) that Jude Law is Captain Silvo, when there's plenty of mystery with the kids and their world.

One of the mysteries that I think is being a little overlooked is the ship itself. Sure, we want to know more about Jod and what's up with At Attin, but what happened to the ship? Why did it crash on At Attin? And, while we seem to know what happened with the crew, it'd be cool to know exactly what.
@thedarkknight2221Ай бұрын
Imagine being on of the kids an having to keep all of this secret for almost a year when all you wanted to do was brag to EVERYONE within earshot *“I fired lasers from a turret at a pair of X-wings after talking to a very friendly owl/cat lady who told us about why our home world was a secret treasure planet after escaping from a pirate spaceport with Young Dumbledore and a droid pirate with a peg leg named SM-33 which clearly means Smee.”* I would break maybe day 4.

KB having a life monitor doesn't necessarily mean she has a health problem. I am reminded of the Ewok TV movies. The human family that crashes on Endor has some sort of life monitors the other family members could see. They were not so much trackers, just means to know that the family member was alive.

considering the timeline from order 66 to this, he might have been a youngling when the Jedi fell. He might have been the kids age when he had to go into hiding and survive on his own.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 'treasure' on At Attin is either nonexistent, or something relatively mundane. Rumours of 'lost treasure' are a great way of encouraging people to search for something on your behalf.

My money is on him being a former padawan or like you said force sensitive who had to hide from the empire. Where better to hide than with pirates or external groups like Crimson Dawn.

Curious to hear about Silvo's origin. Former Jedi youngling maybe, or just someone who has just enough Force potential to do a few things. If he actually has the Force, and it is not some mechanical tricks.

@themoviecouple, 11:18 Why couldn't Jod Na Nawood have been a Jedi? A New Hope takes place 19 years after Order 66, which introduced us to Luke and the Rebel Alliance. The Empire Strikes Back takes place three years later, bringing the time since the Jedi purge to 22 years. Return of the Jedi takes place one year later when Luke and Leia were reported to be 23 years old--the were born when the Republic fell, remember? This story takes place five years after Return of the Jedi, so 28 years after the Jedi fell. Jude Law's age is likely tied to his character, year? If not exactly, pretty close to, given they haven't altered his appearance. Jude Law is 51 years old, assuming Jod is the same age as Jude, he would have been 28 years old when the Empire came into power. He gew up when the Jedi were testing children, so he would have been raised in the temple on Corousant. He might not have been a Jedi master, but he could have been a Jedi Knight, and I suppose a pawdawn, but personally, I think he would have been too old to still be considered a pawdawn, but if you fail the trials, you fail the trials. In any case, Jod grew in a time where the Jedi would have collected him and trained him. Things to keep in mind, Jedi were known to call themselves Jedi after they fell and the Empire went around the galaxy hunting them down. Obi-Wan went so far as to disconnect himself from the Force. Kal Kestis found kept his down and worked a mundane job as a scrapper, avoiding the Force as much as he could. Ahsoka did much of the same too! Why can't Jod have done the same things other Jedi we've met after Order 66? We should also keep in mind the Force theme playing when he first used the Force--I don't recall that ever being used for anyone who wasn't connected to the Jedi. More importantly, Jod's actions. When he took the ship in the first episode, he said to the captain, "you've lost your ship, don't lose your life." He didn't move to kill the captain. In fact, he didn't kill anyone. He hasn't killed yet! He didn't let the children go get SM-33--he could have taken their ship and left them all behind; he told us that he stayed where he was because he didn't have a ship. Had the children left him on the ship, he wouldn't have had a reason to stay. He let them stay on the ship where I was safe, which he pointed out, and went back for their droid. He didn't kill Kym, and he told Fern and Wim to distract the X-Wings; he didn't tell them to shoot them down. He is shaded, sure, but he isn't evil. He's a survivor, and he's done that by almost any means necessary. Killing people indiscriminately is a line, he hasn't crossed. I don't see this series as a mystery, but a kids show. I'd be surprised if it was revealed that Jod wasn't related to the Jedi when this story concludes. The implications are there, and the Force theme is a huge hint, IMHO. The story isn't over yet, and we will find out soon enough, but I'm still of the belief that he was a Jedi--"I'm just like you. Lost and alone." with the Jedi gone, where is a Jedi to go? That was the only life he ever knew. How would a surviving Jedi survive in a galaxy that would kill him on sight? Allying himself with pirates and hiding behind a masked helmet sounds like a good idea to me. Pirates live a life a crime. They stay away from the powers that be, the Republic and Empire. Pirates are people who don't want to be found.

The Old and High Republics didn't call themselves that while they were in it. It was simply The Republic to them. The modern era would, hence the references by everyone not from At Attin. The majority, if not the whole, of At Attin have a "current events" mind set more than a hundred years prior to the actual time. I wonder if it was a planet setup by the Banking Guild, or even one of the old Cartel syndicates, as a source of income or currency exchange (maybe both).

The 6 other jewels were destroyed allegedly; we’d probably hear a *little* something about that if it was only 100 years before this, my guess is that this planet has been hidden for *at least* 1000-2000 years, given how deep that ship was buried and how isolated from the galactic society they are; they don’t even know what stars look like, and don’t seem to think of much beyond their planet. This is OLD republic shit, like KOTOR era.

@@Zacharysharkhazard The problem with that assumption, is that the Great Works thing is from only a couple hundred years back, which would mean At Attin had some form of contact with the High Republic era of The Republic. Fern's mother's outfit is similar to the artwork for those novels set in that period as well. So, it may very well be older, but it has had at least some contact from that time.
@LeChaunceАй бұрын
I suspect At Attin was hidden so that the old Sith Empire didn't find them, and that it was the Sith Empire that destroyed the other Jewels. The Old Republic era includes the period of time when the Sith Empire controlled the galaxy, after all, and it was only after it collapsed that the High Republic era started.

I have a feeling the supervisor is going to be some famous actor/actress who will cameo in the finale. My complete speculation is the show is going to try really hard from here on out to get us to believe Jod is not a Jedi, but in the finale we'll learn he was a youngling who survived Order 66 & became a pirate to survive. Maybe Wim will somehow reginite Jod's faith in humanity to be a Jedi again to protect the kids who will end up in a life or death situation where he has to choose between being a Jedi and saving the kids or go back to being a pirate? With all this space piracy, I wonder if we will get any Han Solo or Lando references? I want to see at least once in this show somebody do the Truffle Shuffle dance, lol.
