Finally, a fun mystery adventure, well written characters, plots that make sense, immessive world building, etc. Unlike the Acolyte, I'm really looking forward to seeing how this series ends... and for a second season, which Disney can really build on as the child characters mature and the adventures become more serious - kind of like a SW version of Harry Potter where it starts of fun and cute but becomes a bit darker and edgy, much like Bad Batch.

Good episode. One detail that caught my attention is the fact that the rebels are using the same helmets worn by Imperial Army forces. Facts: 33 knows At-Attin location (though maybe hidden in memory bank), the old Captain knows At-Attin location (he gave the order to 33 to dis-member anybody snooping), the rest of their crew perished, we do NOT certainly know if the old captain is one of the corpses on the ship, and the ship DID certainly make it to At-Attin (either buried in a crash landing, or buried to hide its location), the old captain and 33 journeyed to find At-Attin. High Confidence: the old Captain and 33 did make it to At-Attin. No reveal yet who or what is the Supervisor... my draw: the old Captain... and he has been sitting plush ever since.

My favorite thing about this episode was the mystery behind these 9 "jewels" of the old republic and the pirate who found them. I just hope that this mystery actually pays off and doesn't turn out to be just a bunch of nonsense plot points that have no effect on ending.

Anyone else notice that the tribe people on the planet that Jod and the kids land on use Imperial gear and wear Imperial army helmets without goggles? They wear the same helmets that the Mud Troopers from the Han Solo movie wear, as well as the same helmets that the Imperial army troops wear in Andor season 1 and 2 (in the trailer footage) and the same helmets that AT ST pilot's wear. I don't know if this was intentional, or if it was just a costume money saving thing, but it's really interesting, essentially considering the operation Cinder satellites outside the planet

@@voiceofraisin3778 yea this does sound like a more reasonable explanation. Especially because of in the Last Jedi how they put the little bit of focus on the selling of weapons to both the resistance and first order. Could be a way for them to show how these back markets originated. But also, if they are going to Operation Cinder route than imperial gear being on the planet would make some sense, but at the same time not many Imperials were going down to the planet afterwards to pay their respects. Was more a turn and burn situation, literally.

But it is. It's definitely intersectional girlbosses, and identity politics. The scene where the French speaking Troik (spelling?) kisses Neel is very much about seeing passed what someone looks like and interspecies affection (aka, intersex or interracial). So it is there, it's just disguised as a "kids' show" so it comes across as inoffensive and cute.
@MVPUnlucky2 күн бұрын
Honestly this one is OK. I know that everyone Disney has had a mean streak of awful shows recently, but this one doesn't seem as inundated as the others, and it doesn't break canon like Acolyte. Plus it officially canonizes the Old Republic in a broader sense which is baller. prior to this the only canonization of the Old Republic was a Sith Star destroyer in Palpatines fleet named after Revan which was only mentioned in a book. Now we got a bunch of Old republic treasure planets that we get to explore why they failed where At Attin didn't. For At Atkin judging by all the Empire and Separatist gear I would surmise that the planet failed because they contacted people during war time and tried to profiteer and trade and eventually it started their own trade wars and it destroyed the planet.

I'm a 44 year old man and I'm enjoying this show. Truthfully, this and the first couple of seasons of Mando is what I was expecting Disney to do with Star Wars series. Set in the universe but, for the most part, self contaied stories that don't break any Star Wars lore. I get it, this is a kids show but in the same way Star Wars OT were kid movies, geared for 12 year old boys (yet admittingly the newer stuff is geared for 12 year olds, not just boys). I was born the year Empire came out and the first Star Wars movie I remember seeing was Return of the Jedi. I grew up watching the OT but also the Endor movies because those were always on syndication and my parents never bought me the VHSs because they didn't collect any (and didn't get cable till I was 10 then it was thank you TNT, or was it USA). I'd play with the toys and make my own Lightsaber with my bike as my X-Wing. This show is fun, and sweet with Neel becoming one of my favorites and I'm glad I'm hearing so many letting their guards down and just letting themselves enjoy this one. It's not perect nor fine cinema but Star Wars never was.

love the fact that fuzzball from Captain EO made into the star wars universe. Does this make Captain EO canon?

I just can't get my head around the planet Earth looking kids playground. I swear that we are going to see an abandoned Macdonald's at some point. 😢

Enjoying the show sofar. I'm invested, I'm expecting some sort of twist to keep it from being too "Spielbergian," I feel like the show deserves a bit more than to play it safe all the way through... although to be fair "Safe" in the current era would probably mean dropping Dinn & Grogu in the middle of the show for no reason so I really hope they let this show be it's own thing and even if a light saber does eventually pop up at some point It'd be fun if Jude law was absolutely horrible at using it.

Neel has the best haircut in Star Wars

I need a Neel standalone show. Neel is the best character on the show. He got the rizz, the skills, and he has a family… unlike the other kid whose dad is obviously the pirate who crashed on at attin and wiped the droids memory and destroyed the coordinates to at attin…

What if all those nine worlds were meant to be show-case worlds for future colonisation, including built-in standardised planetary defences, of the Outer Rim worlds during the High Republic era? But during the High Republic events involving the Nhile pirates, which caused part of Republic space to be cut off under the pirates' control, the eight worlds destroyed were caught in those events and At-Attin's location was lost and forgotten due to the chaos which ended the High Republic era.

they missed two great opportunities in this episode to show us something and instead told us something. 1.Jude Law escaping from his captors by bartering for the beast. we should've seen this 2.SM33 tells us his old captains orders but he could've shown them through his one good eye ala R2D2 in a new hope

Exactly. My mind jumps straight to jude law actually being dark side, and he slaughtered them all haha, maybe we will get a flashback

Do a video on the views not many people including myself are watching this; the same effect that happened to Solo and people called that rubbish even though I think it was quite good.

I feel more people are watching this than they did the Acolyte especially after the first half of the Acolyte but that's only because this show is getting great feedback......I could be wrong tho havent done any research on the viewership for this one
@ihavethehighground7322 күн бұрын
@ It’s not even made the top 10 in viewership for like major shows in two weeks or something. It’s a good show apparently but people are done with Star Wars right now; really hope Mando movie refreshes people towards Star Wars again.

@@ihavethehighground732 I feel like Episodic releases fucks with SW & Marvel tbh. They need to just do them as movies and give us 2 a year oppose to 2-3 shows

Where are you getting this show from It's not real?

I think maybe it was a Jedi temple and theses are all holideck-esque type experiences for the kids.

As we all know, the show is aimed towards children - but it has plenty of depth for adults too. We're back to Star Wars that the whole family can enjoy. Something that Disney had been struggling to deliver. As an OT fan, I'm delighted with how this show is going. I'm glad to see it sitting in the top slots for Disney + in the UK, but it is a shame that Disney has alienated so many people that used to be fans that they won't watch the show, and are often shit-posting about it based on shot-posting KZbin accounts, without having actually watched it. They're missing out, and a chance to show that the fans want SW to return to form is being lost. if Disney get no better results from this show than Sacoshyte, they'll likey decide that the fans can't be pleased and just make more SacsOshyte to please themselves.

This episode needed like 2x more scenes. An action scene of JID using his powers but losing then using credit to solve his problems and the kids action scene verse smee and last second nell chooses violence and bravery at the last second out of necessity
