In regards to why Jude Law's character waited until the children showed up, it is because they have a ship to escape on. One of the first things he asked was if they had a ship.

My theory for why Captain Silvio didn’t bother escaping until the kids showed up: (1) one of his first lines in the opening scene is about leading his men to treasure, which he failed to do, so they mutinied and locked him up. (2) he never bothered escaping because he felt shame and wants his position back but has no way to get it. (3) he overheard the kids chatting about being from the mythical land of At Attin, away from the adults, so he believes they’re telling the truth since they have no reason to lie to each other. (4) he sees this as an opportunity because he wants the kids to take him back to At Attin, to claim the mythical treasure for his men, and reposition himself as supreme pirate.

There's no way in hell this is another galaxy. Remember in Ahsoka they had to hook 12 hyperspace engines together to traverse that distance? It was a huge deal. So they can't just suddenly have shared characters from Mando just popping in and out of another galaxy willy-nilly a few series later.

What if At Attin is an artificial planet made up of old junked ships? When Fern talks about people being sent to the "mines" they are really being sent into the interior of the planet to scavenge from the ships - like Rey.

I suggest this, because the Onyx Cinder is under a hill in the woods, like it is part of the terrain. Maybe there are more ships under more of the terrain.

Neel says the hatch is just junk, and the kids also talk about claimsies. Like finding this kind of thing isn't that rare.

The character I am most intrigued about is KB. We get to see the home/family status of all the other three kids, but we never see anything about KB, she is only ever seen with the other girl, and there is like nobody else shown, neither kid or adult, that has the kind of machine parts she does, and yet nobody seems to be at all phased about them, and she seems like really subservient to the other girl, I am kind of wondering if she might actually be a droid? And in any case, what's her story and why do we get so much less information about her than all the other kids?

There's no shot At Attin is in a separate galaxy. They needed a special hyperdrive or purgill to travel that distance. Some busted ship with rockets is not covering that distance in such a short amount of time. Also let's not normalize intergalactic. Keep it unique to the story with Ahsoka

I think the safety droids were very ominous when they found Whim's dad, especially the way that scene ended, it makes me think that he'll be disappeared by the droids.

I love these characters. I feel lile Neel is gonna be a total badass when he comes of age. KB is already a badass. Fern reminds me of CPT Kirk natural leader but is bored yet understands real consequences outside of petty lies. Wim gives a Han Solo reckless learn in the moment vibe.

Oh man...complete palm to head moment! Lol Hand up. I admit I didn't even realize the SM33 is a nod to Smee....lol incredible. I honestly wasn't interested in this concept at all. I feel that the more kid friendly aspects, of Star Wars =Ewoks. I never resonated with. But certainly have outgrown. But I'm really enjoying this. John Watts is just an incredible film maker & his framing & story telling are hitting all the right spots for me. I love the classic stuff. Love Goonies. So I'm very surprised & receptive, to what's in store for us. Love this show.

I think Silvo was just waiting for a good opportunity to escape rather than immediately trying to leave by himself and risk getting captured. He wasnt in there waiting for that long, maybe the mutiny happened like just the day before the kids showed up. Hes probably going to try to use the kids as a distraction and steal their credits while he escapes

My theory: Just a normal planet that the pirate ship crashed on 20+ years or so. That the crew of this ship stole from the pirates of the time, ran off, and this is where their journey ended. The crew, knowing they were stranded, begins to create a society, so the people we see in the show are the long ancestors of the original pirates. Before the original crew died off, they created the security system protecting the area where the ship crashed. They all kept quiet about who they were and lied about it to the following generations. All the previous generation knows is to improve the security of their planet and the great work, which is just keep hiding from the original pirates. The following generations don't even learn about space travel as it's forbidden knowledge. So the only ship to handle the travel is the original crashed ship. There's nothing sinister about the current planet and the Great Work, just that the original crew of that ship no longer wanted to be a part of the war and cruelty that was space of that time. So the Great Work is just each generation improving upon the security of that planet to keep on living how they want.

Skeleton Crew is a fascinating, and fun adventure thus far. Plus the characters fit the story. But there are definitely some "Timey Wimey Wibbly Wobbly" things going on. Love episodes one and two, cannot wait to dive in next week It is interesting that outside of the kids home planet, it is legendary. Can only imagine how they will be able to get back home. Or communication may be impossible 🤔 This is intriguing

That's what I think too. I noticed as well that when the kids break the barrier they were surprised that there were a lot of stars in the sky like its the first time they saw it. Maybe the barrier was meant to hide it from the outside universe that's why all the people doesn't believe that it exist in the first place

IDK, I feel like Han, Chewie, and/or child Ben feel like good cameos/appearnece here, because of how both Han Solo is basically a pirate/smuggler who didn't believe in the Jedi or the Force and he comes to be apart of a family a Jedi/Force Users (he is the one who confirms the legends to Rey and he even becomes a legend himself), and then who sadly his son is manipulated and turned. It just feels like the right juxtaposition if we assume that Jod was never trained and because the trailer/production skills revealed "Sith" text on a wall for some yet to be disclosed reason. Even though I think it could be important to Jod or Wim to see someone like Luke, I feel like one might expect that, which is why I think they won't do it again for this show or at least, this season should it somehow get renewed.

I had thought something similar. A ship, looking for this "treasure planet" crashed, there was a mutiny, and the ones who came out on top founded the civilization on this planet. It also explains their obsession with fungibility of different currencies. Who is obsessed with money and happens to acquire a bunch of different types of currency (by plundering multiple ships over time)? Pirates. Space pirates.

I want to know what happened to Wim's mom. I suspect we may find out, and there have certainly already been hints of this, that his mom is a free spirit who encouraged that part of his own character. She likely gave him the little reader with the stories about the Jedi, and I would be willing to be she, at some point, ran afoul of the powers in charge of At Attin and that is why she is no longer around.

This series is Star Wars taking a stab at Foundation. I bet anything that the Overseer is some big robot that is trying to build a better galaxy with social experiments. It's a robot ran society where the humanoids are kept around to do math, analysis, etc. Also during Erik's breakdown he points out how the school crest is autumn colors with the Omega symbol, so I'm willing to assume that there's like a "spring", "summer", and "winter" districts. Also the security droids kept finding people going out inside the woods and reminding them that the region is off limits. So I'm willing to bet that they're keeping each of the districts isolated similar to Fallout and the Vaults so see how each society grows and adapts but to also have less outside influence on the populace.
