Okay, you know what would have made sense of this. If it was revealed Teela was in love with He-man but found Prince Adam to be pathetic. Make it cringe even. Finding out they are the same guy humiliates her and causes her to storm off in the belief everyone was laughing at her. Later she confesses her overreaction and asks forgiveness. Buuuuuuut that would require her to have self awareness and imperfections.

I guess that would be somewhat better, but that would still be out of character for Teela to act that way. Teela and Prince Adam grew up together, they are childhood friends, and she doesn't think he is pathetic. Plus he has actually defeated her in single combat in the past. Contrary to popular belief, Adam can defend himself and knows how to fight, partly due to Teela training him, and also thanks to all the battle experience he has acquired as He-Man. He simply pretends to be lazy and cowardly.

You know, I heard the rumors about Teela making Adam's death all about her; about how his (and 'everyone') lying to her was what caused her to renounce her position as Captain of the Guard/Man at Arms - but actually seeing/hearing it? Whoo, boy! That was just awful! If she had renounced her position because her father was being stripped of his title for actions that were out of his control would have made far more sense; but they chose to make Teela look like a self important bitch putting her feelings ahead of grieving parents and the welfare of Eternia. If Kevin Smith wanted to go full metal, e should have had King Randor demand her immediate execution for such disrepect (he's already out of character, so why not?)

I just stumbled across this channel and this is what I find!?! Awesome, gimme more Skeletor! The impression is Bang On man! The zingers in line with what I'd expect to. Funny as F review. I know you thought the Transformation sequence for He-Man was decent, I thought it was....technically and skillfully done, I will give the animation Talent on all 5 episodes was FANTASTIC. I really Didn't like that sequence at All. Why? Well...Design Language. The OG show had it's own Unique Design Style even though it was almost identical in Technical creation as Filmation's previous work, Tarzan. But in a shows identity is its Visuals and Sounds that set it apart from anything remotely similar in the same or related genre. Being a Salvage from losing the rights to Conan, I Felt the relationship between the two from the artwork from the Conan book covers by Frazetta and that Same Feeling so brilliantly recaptured by another artist for the OG Toy Box Art. I stared at the box art for Castle Greyskull for hours. I'd seen Conan as well by the time the show came out and I'd seen the Progression from the mini comics, the DC limited series comics and then the cartoon. I accepted it for what it was and these characters became important to me as a kid during we'll just say difficult times. These characters saved me from hurting myself. They taught me right from wrong and the shows contemporaries took up that notion amd continued and reinforced it. This made these characters Positive Adult Rolemodels for Everyone. The Emasculation I've seen over the past Decade from Doctor Who to Star Wars and Star Trek and on and on....I Really Wanted...maybe even Needed this new show to be Good. What I saw in the HeMan change sequence was SAILOR MOON. Several other ANIME have used a Similar Design Language. MOTU Isn't ANIME. It's not a Japanese Story or Eastern Art Animation. Its Western. I LOVE me some Anime...when I'm in the Mood for Anime. When I want Western Animation then that's Its Own Flavir and Style. This show looks Great and Doesn't Look like Anime, but some of the Effects Languages, specifically that Change scene IS Anime, its Sailor Moon and NOT He-Man. The idea behind the original transformation sequence was like Looking Directly at a STAR or the SUN for a second as Adam Becomes He-Man. In that Briefest of Blindingly Intense Energy the Costume change is Completed and them Cringer gets changed...and they Kinda showed that here when they both get De-powered, emasculated when Battle Cat Shrinks back into Cringer. So oy a Part of it is there, the rest is Sailor Moon. I've understood these characters and how they work since I was a kid. Yes the show was indeed made for kids and in that was its Beauty. The moral and ethical lessons they taught were Simplified and those lessons simply carried on the work started by Mr. Roger's and Sesame Street before it. Thundercats, G.I.Joe and Transformers carried it on After that. These characters, Good and Evil, all became Positive Adult Rolemodels for Anyone and Everyone because they were about the Base Mechanisms of Goodness. The Cillains the Base Mechanisms of Evil and Selfishness so we as CHILDREN had a Comparison to understand, not be Bored and still be entertained. The 200X series carried that over but went further into Adventure Storytelling for an older audience and did it decently. It's own timeline that made changes but still Respected and Honored everything that came before it, which is a big part of why that series is remembered fondly, it Did a Good Job. Here...only the Art is Good. The Story is Utter Garbage. Its Ignorant of the Value of Positive Adult Rolemodels and abandons it wholesale. Skeletor had the potential to be considerably more menacing and in the OG show he had moments where he was far more so than his Amazing Art and design new version here was totally wasted upon. This version was NO Threat and written like a Moron. "Why dont we repaint it Granite?" From the flashback scene with Mer-Man, Skeletor says that Nugget while assuming He-Man amd Teela are drowning. That Wasn't Skeletor!! THAT'S the JOKER....And Hamill can do so many voices too, I dont know why Smith would get Hamill...oh wait, right...he's a Huge Batman fan. Hamill, Joker from Batman the Animated Series is one of The Best versions really so I'm not too surprised now that I think of it. Still, not Skeletor. Anyways, your Skeletor is Amazing and I look forward to watching more.

Mattel no longer have the rights to the filmation series as they sold them in the 90s so this show is only a spiritual sequel, anyway. Kevin Smith confirmed that himself that it couldn't be a true direct continuation. I've found some of the woke crowd getting upset when I bring that up. In time this version will be dubbed the Netflix/Kevin Smith He-Man and largely ignored. Like you both say we've still got the 80s and 2002 series, and if people insist on a sequel we can always mention The New Adventures of He-man from 1990. It wasn't perfect but it's a masterpiece compared to this.

What kind of woman ignores the fact that not only has the King and Queen lost their only child (thus are understandably grief stricken), Eternia has lost its beloved Champion and her father has just been exiled by a grieving King for not being able to prevent something that was out of his control (He-Man/Adam's death) and instead whines and bitches about how her fee fees were hurt because everyone 'lied' to her.

Use actors who can portray a stereotypical hero or villain voice. We didn't need it to be so special they needed superstars
