It’s nice of Skelly not to mention the giant naked statues of himself that he tricked Zagreus into building. Although to be fair, Zagreus was only tricked into building one. He built the other two by himself

I mean, Skelly didn't really knew they were statues of himself lmao. It was a miscommunication mistake with the sculptor, as they were supposed to be (presumably) naked sculptures of Zagreus instead lol

Funny how Chaos admits he misses Zagreus in his own way, then proceeds to casually diss Melinoe in the same breath. (I like Melinoe but you can't deny without Zag, a lot of the charm's been lost)

@@Aurora-313She’s just as charming, but in a different way. Zag was playful and charismatic, while Melinöe is a lot more blunt and naive. Yet at the same time they’re both extremely polite and friendly to both their allies and their rivals. One small detail I like is that when Hades sees everyone frozen in time, you can see Zag was gunning straight for Chronos. He saw his grandfather and went for the attack without hesitation, that’s bravery right there.

Melinoë trying to use the same slang as Skelly while still speaking in such flowery language is honestly adorable. When the siblings are reunited I just know Zagreus is going to teach all kinds of mortal slang just so he can watch her parrot it at the worst possible times

I'm almost sure that the moment Hades and the rest reclaims the house, the postgame is gonna be literally just the first game, but with Zagreous at the top since he's now the "chief of security"

Nice to see the pretty much everybody missed Zag I wonder where is he and the other captives from the house of Hades after Chronos took over. Did he hide them somewhere? I mean, we know where Hypnos is I don't understand how Hecate was able to sneak him out of the house in time since he wasn't frozen in stasis, but he appears to still be in a constant state of sleep and he's been like that for years.

@@cameronrhodes1101 small disclaimer since i never played the game myself. but i've seen some clips and from what i can tell, they're most likely placed elsewhere ( like a pocket dimension or something like that ). that or they're very much moved to the other side of the house... closer to the halls where achilles once stood / near hades' bed

@@cameronrhodes1101i play the game and as far as i know chronos keeps them in stasis hidden in some place that only he has access and to him thats mercy since he hasn’t killed them and according to hades chronos keeps them alive to keep hades in check.

The game is still on early access, im think chronos placed them inside of zag's room, frozen. But we can never be sure as there is zero evidence of it.

Imagine if someday, late in the development of the game, they add Zagreus as playable second character with his weapons (partially ported partially reworked, its okay if he would have less content for him like playable Vergil in past DMC games) after Mel save him fron Chronos That would be awesome

Im missing Zagreus jokes and character, he had something that makes me want to listen what he says instead of skip. Returning to "lobby" is also not feeling special anymore, it looks kinda chaotic and without Zagreus and Hades "hating" each other.

I think that's kind of the point, because the tones of the two games are very different. Zagreus was living in a time of peace and order, and his venture out of the Underworld was a personal goal. For Melinoe, she was raised during a time of war and has this huge responsibility to kill Chronos. It's even implied that she was BORN for this reason. The investment in her character is seeing how she copes with the stress of her situation, finding little bits of peace and happiness even in their horrible situation, and how to live beyond her duty. Learning more about her family is just one way for her to cope, like remembering the good times and reminding her of why she, and subsequently the player, have to fight so hard

I get what you mean though I understand the reasoning behind it. For me, it's more, I don't really care as much for those in the crossroads? In H1, I liked and wanted to talk to everyone. In H2, there are some that actually kind of annoy me (Nem and Eris in particular, tho I know some people really like them). I thought I'd like Dora but she's kind of meh for me as well. Also bc the situation seems more dire, I really just wanna keep getting out there faster.

the one reason I miss zagreus is mostly because by the clips of the games, melinoe sounds so fucking cold to the people (albeit) she hasn't met yet, to me her desire to stop chronos isn't my cup of tea as opposed to zag who just wants to escape the underworld to meet his mother, melinoe kind of sounds like zuko during the early days of atla

Supergiant used to have lots of saturated colors, in Hades 1, it pops, red, teal, gems, metallics, this time the seem to go to more subdued approach, but yeah I agree, even the walkable grounds look less obvious gameplay wise, it used to be quite intuitive, but now it feels like late mid 2000s graying tone of games with so much added details and desaturations

Taste, I guess. Haven't logged into Hades in over a year. A friend gifted me Hades 2. I'm hooked. Played 30 hours in 4 days. And there's still so much content unexplored. If you consider the second part as an expansion to the first, it's a great project in general. More story, more gods, more abilities, more builds, more challenges.
