Skelton mural Pantheon donation 6/9/2023

The Pantheon Business Theatre will be the home of a new mural, thanks to a $25,000 check presented by the widow of Red Skelton to Helen Seirp. Lothian Skelton will present the check in a special ceremony on Friday, June 9th, at 1:00 p.m. The Pantheon building opened 100 years ago as an entertainment venue at Fifth and Main in downtown Vincennes.
The large-scale art work will be on the back wall of the Pantheon stage and will feature performers who worked there. The list includes Red Skelton, Ed Wynn, and others. The mural was funded by donors who made gifts in honor of loved ones.
The mural will be completed by Randy Hedden. Hedden is the artist who completed other sets of murals across Vincennes - including a mural of Red Skelton near Third and Vigo Streets. The check presentation is free and open to the public.
