it's always exciting to start a new sketchbook, esp if you're like me and you wait until your previous one is totally complete before starting the new one. then, it's a momentous occasion that only occurs once in a blue moon and should be thoroughly appreciated (but not with too much pressure. we are not afraid of the first page here😤)

I have such a ridiculous amount of stickers too, I tend to paint my sketchbook covers but I will use stickers as well on the corners or the back, and sometimes when an artwork isn't going right and it's not erasable I use sticky notes or stickers to cover the Folly's ❤❤❤

What I've been doing is that I wait until I finish the sketchbook and then I paint on it in a specific colour. I started with purple, I'm at orange. So excited to finish my little rainbow series this year.

When I start a new sketchbook I'll put a few stickers on to start it but then I add onto it during the year so they're more memorable for me :) that way I can look at a sticker and go "Oh I added this on around (this time)" !! :D

One of mine had a cloth like cover so I used it to swatch and eventually the cover was decorated with all kinds of craziness. The Smoother Sketchbooks I use stickers and paint pens

I too have a fear of eyes but not goat eyes but wide opened eyes like someone who may be shocked or surprised, or those few people who can push their eyeballs further out beyond their eye sockets 😅 I cant look at them either I get so anxious 😅 great drawings you’ve done for your first page, looking forward to seeing more videos! ⭐️

I like to paint on the front of my sketchbook and the absolutely BOMB the back of the sketchbook with stickers☺️ Like not a single centimeter is free from stickers😈 I have about 20 sketchbooks, but it’s only the latest 10 that I have done “seriously”, like actually finishing them, decorating the covers and giving them numbers:) My first very first gouache painting was actually on the cover of my sketchbook (ps. Gouache is not great on plastic so I don’t recommend it, it’s all cracked now) Sorry for the little rant, if it’s not interesting at least it boosts the algorithm:)

Usually I slap on stickers right away but leave space for new ones I might receive! That way the front never gets old and I get tiny serotonin bursts every time another one is added xd

if you want more book recommendations; i’m reading a trilogy called ‘the queens of renthia’ it’s amazing! it’s a fantasy trilogy and follows the main character called daleina! i’m on the very last book, and the first has to be, by far, the best. i can’t explain it thoroughly enough since i’ve had a break from reading recently and haven’t read it in awhile, but it’s so amazing! it’s by sarah beth durst (this is my first video of yours i’ve seen so 😭🤍) the first book is called the queen of blood! (the title will make sense)

Not gonna lie, I just draw on my sketchbook cover and just put a date under it on when I got it, for example, a character that I made doing a silly pose then just make a big date under the drawing and that character reacting to it. I’m just like that-

So i have a question i was hoping you could help me: So i just started my first sketchbook and since i was scared to draw on the sketchbook cover itself i drew it on a paper. I want to glue it on and wanted to ask if i should put a layer of duct tape over it. (We have like a see trough version of ut so it won't be brown) Do you think that could work or will the drawings stay on? I already love the video! ❤ I decided to draw Warabihime oiran (is that her name?) Basically disguised daki from demon slayer. I personally really like her even tho she's hella rude 😂 WWWEEEEEEEE~ one more question I'm so sorry: should i ask my friends if they want to draw in my sketchbook? Love your art omg ❤

that's smart to make the cover drawing separately on paper! and i've never done it before but i think that's a good idea if you put on clear duct tape! that sounds like it would preserve your drawing while keeping the foundation of your book safe too. for your second question, that's up to you! ^^ personally, i actually love when others draw in my sketchbook xD it makes it more memorable and special to me, and i love encouraging others to be creative and draw freely so giving them that allowance in my own sketchbook is a way to let them do that. it's an honor if they choose to leave a bit of their own artwork for me to admire and look back on✨ and thank you so so much ;o;💕

wow thank you so much!! that's a relief to hear ! i use a blue yeti mic! i just use a USB adaptor then plug that into my macbook and record that way directly in imovie. i've heard USB adaptors are discouraged bc it might inhibit sound quality but i feel like i never had any issues and there's literally no other way for me to plug my mic in LOL it does a decent job filtering out the usually raging fan from my computer anyway, otherwise if i just used the laptop's mic that might be all you hear xD edit: just realized you may have been talking about video quality not audio quality LOL; i record with either my camera (sony A6100) or my iphone 11!
