At 4:27, to combine the door panel and knob to a component, I hope you can teach us combine the components by using outline tray(2020 new feature??). that should be useful when there are many sub-components.

Arron... Does your door rotation still work if you duplicate your door component, flip it along its top level X axis, and then try to rotate the new door? Every time I've tried to control a duplicated DC's rotation (done with OnClick in my case), the "flipped" version rotation goes all wonky. I'd be more than happy to send you a simple cabinet door frame DC example file for you to examine if you'd like one.

Hello. Your videos are really good. Thanks. Could you explain how to create folding doors, please? In my case, I have a garage door that folds vertically in an open or closed position. I don't know how to program the rotation around the horizontal axe joining the 2 parts of the door. Thanks

great videos! Looking to create a dynamic kitchen database with different kitchen cabinet types, for example different widths, units with drawers or without drawers etc. Ideally want to be able to drop these units into a kitchen design and be able to change the door colour and style of the doors all at once with an options list. so the list would have 'door style' 'door colour' 'plinth style' so for example i could have a door style that is standard shaker style and have an option to have add a mould around the inside of the door. I haven't seen anywhere that adds the option to a dynamic component that totally transforms the look of it. not sure if that makes any sense to anyone but if it does can someone point me in the right direction please :) thanks

How can you add cost to your dynamic components. So when you resize it recalculates the construction cost of the door.

Cost can be added as a user defined attribute. Once added, you could multiply it by any value in the component.

Can you show how to work after making a copy of component to make it a base for something similar but slightly different. And if you change subcomponent attribute for the one you just created it destroys its relation between attributes in original components (name) that you made copy from. Does it mean that each subcomponent has to be unique even if it nested in a different component? Is a design in that way, or is it a bug of some sort :)?
