ski was one of my favorite artists back in 2016/17 but i was always waiting for him to live up to what i thought was his potential, always enjoying his music but wishing there was more to it and hoping he'd evolve some. over time it just felt like he was stuck in the same year while i was getting older. love the guy and his personality, just disappointed with the lack of evolution

Yup. This is basically me. Got into him in 2017 and couldn’t get enough. I listened to stokely constantly, and I rarely did that with modern rap. Now? I could barely get through his new album and even Stokely doesn’t hit the same way. The problem isn’t that Ski mask got worse-it’s that I changed.

Essentially, Dr Seuss should’ve never released bc it gave him the idea that people want more of those songs, so he’s not giving us more songs like Earwax
