Enough with this "back when" BS. I'm 53,I've seen a lot of kick-ass shows in my life and I'm not done, and there are plenty of performers who can sing their ass off even today. I'm not a huge Greta Van Fleet fan, but you can't deny their vocalist has one hell of a set of pipes. It's just that rock music isn't trendy these days, it's all about shitty hip hop. But there are still some good rock acts out there.

It makes me yearn for high school and seeing the smoking hotties walking around in their tight jeans through the school hallways. Chilly Friday night football games. I would have been going into my sophomore year in the fall of 1991. What a time. The big hair band era was creeping toward the ledge. We didn't know it at during the summer of 1991, but within months a song called "Smells Like Teen Spirit" would forever flip the music scene into its head. Also, an album called "Ten" was released at the end of August 1991 to little fan fair. But, within the year the world belonged to Nirvana and Pearl Jam and the big hair bands have never been on top since.

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain The wind would whisper and I'd think of you And all the tears you cried - they called my name And when you needed me I came through Paint a picture of the days gone by When love went blind and you would make me see I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes So that I knew that you were there for me Time after time you were there for me Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand Love letters in the sands - I remember you And through the sleepless nights, through every endless day I wanna hear you say, "I remember you." We spent the summer with the top rolled down Wished ever after would be like this You said I love you babe, without a sound I said I'd give my life for just one kiss I'd live for your smile and die for your kiss Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand Love letters in the sands - I remember you And through the sleepless nights, through every endless day I wanna hear you say, "I remember you." We've had our share of hard times But that's the price we paid And through it all we kept the promise that we made I swear you'll never be lonely Woke up to the sound of pouring rain Washed away a dream of you But nothing else could ever take you away 'Cause you'll always be my dream come true Oh my darling, I love you Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand Love letters in the sands - I remember you Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day I wanna hear you say, "I remember you." Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand Love letters in the sands - I remember you. Through all the sleepless nights, through every endless day I wanna hear you say, "I remember, I remember you!"

50 years from now people will see this and say holy hell this band was incredible!
@lobsterboy8148 Жыл бұрын
I doubt that. Maybe they will look back on the era and think it was incredible but literally every 80s hair band looks and sounds the same. So no bands really stand out above any of the others.

@@lobsterboy8148 I think that’s true for the vast majority of hair bands, but Skid Row wasn’t just another hair band. Sebastian Bach had one of the most stunningly incredible voices in all of rock history, and they were quite a bit heavier than most of the hair bands on MTV at the time. Not to mention Bach’s sheer size and his looks. They were the real deal, which is why it’s perfect that they toured with another of the greats, Guns ’N Roses.

@silent-reloader Scotti seems fairly humble these days. I can't say anything negative about any of them because I am less informed. I would however maybe see a show with only Sebastian or also one with Scotti, Snake, Bolan. If any of those other 3 are missing, it just can't work.
