This is perhaps the most majestic power ballad ever written. I tell you, when Sebastian Bach's voice is under control, he shows off his incredible vocal gift that is virtually unmatched in rock history. There are few male singers who have his natural vocal ability and powerful range. I have seen a few live performances on video where he tended to lose discipline and overdo it, getting a bit off key. But when he is on target, he is an incredible singer.

Sebastian Bach had one of the most stunningly incredible voices in all of rock history, and they were quite a bit heavier than most of the hair bands on MTV at the time. Not to mention Bach’s sheer size and his looks. They were the real deal, which is why it’s perfect that they toured with another of the greats, Guns ’N Roses.

He was trained early on an opera singing so that's probably why his voice is still good. -- He learn to sing from the diaphragm as opposed to screaming in the throat area .

Enough with this "back when" BS. I'm 53,I've seen a lot of kick-ass shows in my life and I'm not done, and there are plenty of performers who can sing their ass off even today. I'm not a huge Greta Van Fleet fan, but you can't deny their vocalist has one hell of a set of pipes. It's just that rock music isn't trendy these days, it's all about shitty hip hop. But there are still some good rock acts out there.

It was lame then too. Thus the grunge revolution that was already murmuring beneath the surface in 1991.

It makes me yearn for high school and seeing the smoking hotties walking around in their tight jeans through the school hallways. Chilly Friday night football games. I would have been going into my sophomore year in the fall of 1991. What a time. The big hair band era was creeping toward the ledge. We didn't know it at during the summer of 1991, but within months a song called "Smells Like Teen Spirit" would forever flip the music scene into its head. Also, an album called "Ten" was released at the end of August 1991 to little fan fair. But, within the year the world belonged to Nirvana and Pearl Jam and the big hair bands have never been on top since.

Wow. Sebastian Bach in his prime! 😍 This is by far the best version AND live performance of “I remember you.” (Playing this on auto repeat in 2020)! 🙌🏽😆 I was a HUGE Skid Row fan back in Jr. High, but was too young to ever have gone to a concert and this was also the days of pre-internet 😂, so we did not have the luxury of watching videos on KZbin anytime we pleased like the young folks today! So, I never saw Skid Row performing live until now (on video in 2020 😆) and dang - Sebastian Bach can SING!! I have a new found appreciation and respect for his vocal ability and fierce stage presence! Catching up now on all the live performances I missed in my youth! Bring back the glory days of old where men had BEAUTIFUL luscious long hair!!! 😍🤘🏽❤️

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain The wind would whisper and I'd think of you And all the tears you cried - they called my name And when you needed me I came through Paint a picture of the days gone by When love went blind and you would make me see I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes So that I knew that you were there for me Time after time you were there for me Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand Love letters in the sands - I remember you And through the sleepless nights, through every endless day I wanna hear you say, "I remember you." We spent the summer with the top rolled down Wished ever after would be like this You said I love you babe, without a sound I said I'd give my life for just one kiss I'd live for your smile and die for your kiss Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand Love letters in the sands - I remember you And through the sleepless nights, through every endless day I wanna hear you say, "I remember you." We've had our share of hard times But that's the price we paid And through it all we kept the promise that we made I swear you'll never be lonely Woke up to the sound of pouring rain Washed away a dream of you But nothing else could ever take you away 'Cause you'll always be my dream come true Oh my darling, I love you Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand Love letters in the sands - I remember you Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day I wanna hear you say, "I remember you." Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand Love letters in the sands - I remember you. Through all the sleepless nights, through every endless day I wanna hear you say, "I remember, I remember you!"

I was fortunate to see this band twice JUST before they hit it big and still did bars. The band were all excellent and communicated so fluidly instrumentally, on the fly. And Bach, make no mistake, brought colossal, titanic energy even to bar performances. He could nail those crazy notes all night long for real, and I recall one instance where he was on the bar tables and then the bar itself, drinks were flying, he was rocking out on the bar itself squatted down, I think but its been years, singing Monkey Business. And the bartenders? They were headbanging right along with the rest of us. We were lost in the experience omfg. Craziest shit I ever saw and I came from both shows charged emotionally for like a week after. The band is one of the greats, and Bach remains a god of metal. You felt everything he did cause he was so deeply into it, for us all.
