Changing the skid steer tips to pioneer and trashing the adapters will speed it up a little with more power you have some serious restrictions with adapters

I think this will create alot of heat in ur hydraulics skidsteers with hiflow have a seperate hydro cooler. May burn out ur hydro pump.

I would agree with you if you would have to run it for an extended period of time. This applications use is intermittently. I would average 2 minutes a hole when a did a fence. I don’t think it’s enough to get it to hot. It’s definitely something that needs to be considered while operating. Great insight and thanks for the comment!

Now that is very cool!! I have wondered about this very adaptation! A few questions come to mind. 🤔 Is your tractor similar in size to a Kubota L series or a JD 2,3,4 series? What is the rated hydraulic gpm (not including the power steering pump) of your tractor? Thanks for posting this!

Thanks! I thought so too. It is compared to the Kubota L 3901, JD 3 series. My pump output is 8.3 gpm.

Thanks! The pump on my tractor has 8.2 gpm. I’ll see if I can find out what the skid steer auger is. Most skid steer augers have a minimum flow rate of around 10 gpm.

But again, I’m just watching a KZbin video, you are doing it for real so I’ll defer to your opinion. Hope to hear a follow up. If it really works well I may grab one (got a few hundred holes to drill)

Will do. I tested it on the worst case scenario ground. It was like concrete and drought conditions.
