This looks like a solid option that if you primarily fish solo, it is a great platform ... it looks like a solid platform for the few times you may want to take a friend or even a younger angler. But the fact that how you were using it, the skiff still performed the way it did is a testament to how good it really is. Thanks for sharing.

She looks good, keep testing it. I'm wondering how fast with just you. There are hot rodding tricks that can be applied to most any motor, but I'd get a cupped prop first.

Hi Mark just wondering what your thoughts were between the Wright Water & the H:Skiff 13, very interested in purchasing something like this for my wife and myself. Thanks, great channel very informative!

With the one I just tested, it nearly fits all my needs on the Texas upper coast. If I had one I could outfit it to do everything. I love the fact that I could pole straight and move over shallow water with the outboard.

Thanks for the video!! Just subscribed!! Need some help, just got the same boat and took my daughters boyfriend and could not find a sweet spot to get on plane. I have a 15hp on her and would love some advice on what pin(?) you have the motor set on, believe there are four levels. I also have a jackplate. Thanks in advance

Mark, love what you're doing. You test out reels, rods, lures, line, why shouldn't you also test out different fishing platforms? Only makes sense. Those you might lose who want a strict yak channel will be more than replaced by those who appreciate you testing out all these things so we don't have to. Tight lines, brother.

Heck of a skiff I would install a small bilge pump that you could run off a small lawn mower size battery to evac that water if it does occur
@davidcrowson47453 жыл бұрын
I feel like years down the road after you've gone through every fishing vessel and fishing rod and reel You're going to look like Tom Hanks in the movie castaway with a long beard and a loin cloth wrapped around you catching fish with a spear. Your feet will be so tough you'll be able to walk on oyster beds barefoot.

Nice Mark, glad that you might've found a better alternative to the h-skiff. My only suggestion is putting a 15 hp, only a 15 pound difference from the 9.9 hp.

So this is a one man skiff with a poling platform, but it's for one person. Hmmm. Cool boat, but I wonder what it's top end is with one person and also see Boatwright is coming out with a 16' boat.

Nice skiff. I'm looking at the Gheenoe LT25 or Salt Marsh 1444. The salt marsh has a kevlar/glass hull. But the Gheenoe can hold 3 people a bit more comfortable I believe.

I hope next time you go solo since that is what it’s designed for. If you are solo do you really need a poling platform? Is it easier to pole up high or is the platform mainly for better sight casting?

Commented on your other channel but another reason you with have prop slip and or cavitate is because of the extra weight without the weight it shouldnt cavitate as bad. Only time it might is on sharp turns

Not sure why your not looking into a bigger skiff thats actually made for 2-3 people instead of these single persons skiffs. You want to take your son or a buddy? Get a skiff designed for more than one person!!! But if you did that what would you have to make videos on except fishing....

I really hope you like this platform. I was fortunate enough to meet Adam when he drove all the way down to the Rio Grande Valley to purchase the trailer your boat is on, from me. I mentioned that I wanted to know how it handled vs your H-skiff. That's when he told me that the trailer was for the boat he was taking to you. I was like "wow, I am like his biggest fan and I have followed you since the beginning and watch every video!!!" I gotta tell you that Adam went way out of the way for you too. He drove 4 hours each way to get that trailer so he could get you the boat in a timely manner. Now I'm just waiting on your review to see if I'm going to get one. Please shoot me an email and let me know if sometime I can come up there and go out with you to see it on the water and get a firsthand idea of it's capabilities. mnmhough21@gmail.com. Thanks bro!!!
